thanks for the replys, ive read most of this topic and read through all my books and old edrd and asked around a few knowledgable terrier/ lurcher men, and ive decided to go for something with rillington blood in does anyone know of any litters

cheers topper, whats the difference between the different strains, do some go to ground more readily than others, got 2 lurchers and would like to work a beddy with them just bushing and going to ground when the oppertunity arises, but its still a dog for the kids honest

what are bedlingtons like with kids? are certain strains more tolerant than others? my reason for asking is im thinking about getting one for my 6 year old daughter, i want something to be a companion for her but something i wont be imbarresed about walking, are their any problems associated with the working strains ( i know the kc strain suffer from copper toxosis ), how much would i expect to pay for one? and my last question so i stop chewing your ears off is their any litters ready mid march. thanks for any help.

ferrets any day, as some say the smoker doesnt always work and they just die down the holes, which defies the point of ratting, unfortunatly my dogs dont like ferrets so i just use a smoker or let the dogs dig them but with 2 lurchers they tend to lose the holes

deffo the wires are the wrong way round swich the wires over and tape the wires diferent colours so you dont do it again, apperently it can break it altogether if done to often

i gut, skin and mince them, for the reason my 2 dogs are kennelled together and im not breaking up a full blown fight between a 29" deerhound x and a 26" bull x over a rabbit, much easier to mince them

a fella i know who fishes in irland alot for pike say alot of the lakes have been ruined by germans coming over for a holiday, killing pike of all sizes and taking them back home but on alot of trout and salmon rivers they kill alot of pike around 6-7pounds apperently they are a bigger danger for the game fish. so rather than waste them somebody should eat them, i have also seen pike being cook on river cottage

went to limerick last year, meet some nice people but wasnt really that keen on the coursing as some of you say its more of a sprint, got some video footage of it, not great quality but you get the drift

any of you lads or lasses ever seen these beasts on the lamp, and if so what happened next. the reson i ask is ive often been lamping around the boar hot spot areas and never seen anythin of them ( maybe im looking in the wrong places ).

someone tell me this if you mate for example a 1/2 cross bull greyhound to another 1/2 cross bull greyhound would the pups be classed as half crosses

its hard to give advice on calling, because theirs loads of different factors involved, get someone whos in the know to show you the ropes, failin that theres loads of videos out by the warrener ( some good, some shite) that should give you an idea, but you cant beat personal experience

coming up to 7 years in march but still going strong and showing up the younger dogs.

this is the only picture i can put up the rest are to big, and i dont know how to shrink them. hes deerhound x greyhound / beardie x greyhound 29" game as any bull cross, jumps anything, and is as fast as fook, as for big dogs not being able to catch rabbits well he does alright. major set back is he cant be trusted with livestock (my fault) and has more than once grabbed small dogs, once was mistaken identity, but when he got hold he still wouldnt let go, digs rats out of holes, and once found a litter of feral kittens in a rubbish pile, so hes got a cracker nose, loves water and will take

was calling a fox in by hand once and two fallow came threw a gap in the fence, they werent running in just seemed curious, only happened the once mind.

any car garage or motor accesorise shop should be able to order one for you, failing that you could always mug an old women for her battery off her motorised wheel chair, or rob a golf buggy
