  1. I know the lad who started the pies, funny f****r, could of held the world record for the largest graffiti when he did it on Speke airport run way but the Guinness book of records didn't want to promote that kind of behaviour, it's him who writes pies everywhere, their probably the best advertised band in liverpool without paying for it and still nobody's heard any of their music.
  2. Theirs one lad on here who's got the purest line of pie you could get in his kennel, put it up for open stud and no takers. 7 pages of this shows theirs interest so why nobody wanted to use the dog is beyond me. Ill let him name himself but in its day it was as good a specimen you could ask for and I personally would like to see it put across a rangy fast fooker, deerhound cross but I suppose a coursing dog would do the trick ( not my cup of tea though )
  3. Done the numbers doubled up but always knew the dogs did them on their own as well ( well most of them) but here's a dilemma, your out lamping with your catch dog and kill dog then after a few runs the kill dog gets injured, what now? You gotta go home. That's why each dog should be capable of doing the job on its own
  4. Thanks I'm going to have to rethink where to put the cabinet
  5. I'm thinking of getting a shotgun and am just wondering about what location is suitable for the cabinet , the place I have in mind is a little boiler room with a door on but it would have to be secured to wooden beams inside the room, is this acceptable or does it have to be on a brick wall?
  6. A few years ago I owned a big rangy 3/4 bull greyhound he was very fast with stamina to spare and intelligent to, but he was overshadowed by my older dog ( a deerhound x) who was very good with the heart of a lion. The deerhound x died and I kept a pup out of the litter he sired before his demise. She surpassed the bull x before she was 2 with less speed, less stamina and a hell of a lot less intelligence why? Because she's got the same heart her sire had. Now the bull cross wasn't a bad dog he had a few flaws that I could live with but he didn't have the gutsy drive I like and would often pi
  7. Why don't you lads go to your local garage and ask them for their old wheel bearings
  8. I think I read somewhere that parson John Russell would test a dog and if satisfied use the brother ( might of been someone else, it was a long time ago ). But this kind of thread really interests me and it also prompts the debate over using young untested stock.
  9. Sorry just seen you've got it
  10. I'm not religious at all, but I do find it all very interesting, to answer baw the devil was an angel who wanted to take over and after a war was cast out along with a load of other angels who fought along side him. Now my beef with religion is the majority of wars are fought because of religion or justified because of it. And I want to know why can't someone be a good person without having a religion, if the only way to get into heaven is by worshipping some god and it doesn't matter if your a c**t because you can ask for forgiveness, then I don't want to go to heaven. Treat people as you'd l
  11. Who me? I've only found one hob.
  12. Funny you should say this I found a gill ferret last year where I work full of ticks, malnourished and missing an eye, I kept it and worked it though the winter, then last week I set a few live rat traps and caught a tiny hob, again full of ticks with a big hole in its head, I presume it was sniffing round for the gill, the hob is totally tame and starting to put a bit of weight on and the hole in its head is healed, so come this winter ill have 2 to work, I've just got to get enough food to feed the smelly b*****ds.
  13. I've just worked out that a 260 lumen tiablo works out at 3315 candle power according to stabbas equation, doesn't sound very bright or maybe I worked it out wrong.
  14. Yes heard good things about tiablo but say a million candle power lamp how many lumens would that be?
  15. I'm just looking at the tiablo 10g how does that compare? And how do you convert lumens to candle power? I'm not sure what's bright or not on lumens
  16. A hypothetical question here, if you needed a litter but only one dog which you new was either not as good as you hoped or not tested as much as you would like, but was from your blood line would you still use that dog knowing the correct blood line was their? Also when do you go for an outcrossing? When they seem to lack something or every 4 generations for example.
  17. Wrong if a bitch was off for that length off time they would get fook all done especially the ones that come in season a few times a year, and no they shouldn't lactate after a season, but it wouldn't mean a trip to the vets if she did.
  18. I think some of you are missing the point here, the issue isn't the farmer letting other lads on the land, it's his land he can let who ever he likes on it, the issue is their destroying earths, leaving them half back filled and dead quarry hanging out of them for all to see. I'm not going to tell where it is, it's not my permission, but what I will say is I have my own permission that I know another group of lads go on and they seem to leave everything in good order as do I, hence no problems with any party's involved, just the way it should be.
  19. It is accurate corky John, I use it all the time when out on my own and I've even used when my mates bellman packed in ( dozy b*****d forgot to check the battery's ) . My one beef with it is the switch can go on on its own so your best off taking out the battery's out until your using it, but I don't like the way the switch sticks up on the bellman either. The best thing of all about the free ride is you get a gay bumbag with it, to camp you right up and it only takes one aa battery which is good.
  20. I use it takes a bit longer to find than the more expensive ones but its a lot quicker than the grey boxes, and in my opinion to many people are in to much of a rush to dig their dogs out anyway. A decent box at a more affordable price.
  21. He is not going to say where it is, why would he? So any one reading this can go their thinking the farmers give permission to anyone, I was there and it was a disgrace, it looked like a world war 1 film with all the trenches. Wolfie has had this permission and loads more in the area for over 10 years, and never had any problems with land owners or residents in the area, it's hard to get round all them in a season when working 6 days a week with a young family, but the farmers have had his number and if their was a real problem a quick phone call would make them a priority.
