Top man  It's not a nice feeling when you have a hound out overnight, let alone a couple of day's, well done for your effort bud

You could ask one of the local farms to leave a stock box with the ramp down where she has been hanging around with a bit of straw in it, if your lucky she may well feel secure enough to bed down in it

As Ali said above

Sound's like the keeper has no idea what he's doing Bird's should be released well before the shooting season starts if they are still penned they wont fly properly, they wont know where to roost, they will have no wing muscle and will be in poor condition :censored: He shouldn't be in the job if he's doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No change there then, all you do is stroll you lazy bugger

cost me 500 quid made the sun and the star -- When i was in court 16 of the "great unwashed" turned up and demanded to be hidden away before i got to the courthouse so they could make it look as bad as possible Three of them were expecting to get 1,000 each compensation they were gutted when they were awarded 25 quid each what makes me laugh is how they get away with wearing ski-mask's in public, and acting like they do It seem's they only like to have a go at old folk, women and kid's and as soon as a grown man stand's up to them they run straight to the old bill !!!

One of the main problem's is that alot of people are breeding from sub-standard dog's "AND" bitches "Both" parent's should be "well tested" before they are bred, i.e. 4 or 5 season's of hard graft, "not" just a dozen dig's a year, and proper dig's not puppy earth's !!! A decent line should produce a "good percentage" of good working dog's and bitches, "if there not then i'm afraid there's something lacking in the line !!!!"

One of the main problems is that in the past, to become a huntsman you had to start at the bottom and work your way up until you became the huntsman to one of the smaller pack's, do a few seasons and "if" you showed "good sport" you then had a chance of a job with a bigger/better pack,,,,,,,,,,,, not be recommended by one of the "old boy's network" and walk straight into a good huntsman's job like nowaday's, half of the huntsmen now have no knowledge of how to run a kennel's properley, hound's,or whip in Half the problem lie'swith amateur huntsmen being able to pay thier way into a job,

Yep it's a strange year for sure

I was chatting to a guy yesterday and we were talking about the importance of a good whip . A good whip can surely make a bad huntsman look a lot better. Do you all think good whips make better huntsmen ? I know, I know ,Whats with all the question but the mrs wont talk about hunting anymore so i'm stuck with you lot A good "whipper in" is worth his/her weight in gold, unfortunatey alot of huntsmen dont appreciate there hard work as they should!!!! I have got a really good lad who whip's in for me, but by christ he's an ugly bugger

hi stando you wouldent be from carmathan area would you? I was born there but moved a long time ago
-
I think most people would be better off learning "fieldcraft" and getting into a position as close as you need to be for a humane kill within your capabillities If a long shot is the only option then you need to make sure you can pull it off, too many muppet's think they are Annie Oakley
