    If a mate of mine was getting a pasting i'd intervene read what i said properly. If he is capable of handling it himself no need to be a thug and jump in and gang up.     [ Look at it this way, if your in a pub and a mate gets into a fight your going to jump in aint you? Even if you know your mate capable of sorting it himself? This is a silly answer if it's one on one why would you jump in unless it was to stop it. Too many gutless wonders out there jump in and gang up on people nowadays. If he is stupid enough to get in a fight and can handle himself let him wear his own lumps. Don't escalate it that's where things go pear shaped and someone ends up seriously injured.

    doberman, sheppard or boxers that are trained guard dogs are the go. You will not get away from any of these fullstop as they all can run like the wind and are extremly agile. Probably why so many of the worlds armed forces and police units use them. The other bigger bodied dogs such as the Rotti and various types of mastiff are a little more intimidating to look at but would be left behind by the other three in a chase.     Why are you worried about size? Just that as you allready seem to have a couple of pretty handy scenting and marking dogs and a ferret to flush them out. A bigger sighthound might be just the ticket to run your quarry down. Saluki's or x's of seem to be the favoured ones going over there just steer clear of bully type crosses if it is aggression towards your springers your worried about and the extra gameness is something you probably don't require for chasing the bouncing bunnies.

    Keep the meat frozen and only thaw out what is needed for that day. As if it is frozen whatever bacteria that may or may not be present will be killed. I personally would be more concerned about what is in the kibble as if you search the net close enough you will find there has been numerous issues that have been linked to various brands. Might be the reason why so many dogs seem to present with skin problems and the rise in cancer issues since the proliferation of dry foods. In many cases the exact makeup of which is a little unclear and most certainly contains things that are merely fillers

    Male dog castration only decreases aggresion and humping short term. It is not uncommon for said problems to return down the track. It does however decrease the likelyhood of them being the victims of male dog aggression and testicular cancer. The problem you have is that he is at that maturity stage where he is trying to assert his position and test the pack order. Is the 8mth old a dog or bitch as with the two of them being close this could be the issue as neither is mature yet and they both want the top dog position.     I would of thought the Borzoi and Irish wolfhound might have made this list certainly rate them alot higher than Australian cattle dog's or Collie's. I'd say the Bull arab is not a bad choice either though like the lurcher it is not really a pure bred though the originator of them is trying to make them one. This list is however a Uk based hunting one which sort of limits the choice to dogs that are good on Rabbits and hares.     Try ozziedoggers website they are more likely to point you in the right direction. It is legal to hunt pigs with dogs in Australia and most is done on private property with the consent of Farmers. Though if your dogs attack his stock that consent will be withdrawn so it is must to ensure your dogs are stock proof.

    So did you keep one and try it? Just curious as i'm of the opinion that they would be a good mix as boxers are fast, agile and strong. They where and still are used in mixes for boar hunting and to me would offer alot of the benefits of a pitbull mix with the possible advantage of being a slightly more stable dog. The only downside to using one as a purebreed would be the dislike of extreme heat and cold. My 9mth old boxer runs with my mates 2yr old wolfhoundxgreyhound bitch and staghoundxdeerhoundxborzoi dog and is more than capable of keeping up. In fact uphill he powers away and over uneven
