Due to a change in our circumstances we are having to sell some of our dogs, we have for sale a JRT dog black and white small type but stocky does work well had him out ratting and rabbiting this season and he has done very well, he is 22 months old good with other dogs, good with children he lives out at the moment but has lived in and is house trained £100.00 The next dog that has drawn the short straw is my 11 month old saluki x greyhound dog, he is approx 25" tts he has not done too much this season as he is still quite puppyish, he has had a few rabbits during the day. Went out lamping last night and shot some rabbits we left them to pick up after we had been round the whole field, when it came to us picking up there was another rabbit bonking the dead rabbit obviously we found this funny as f**k. As we carried on the same was happening to another dead rabbit. Has anyone else experienced this we were wetting ourselves with laughing, i wish i had a vid recorder with us. Cheers David

First point of call is a recall, always give praise or a treat while he is young for coming back to you. When you start retrieving always swop him the tennis ball with a treat (i know this sounds silly but my partner has a degree in canine behaviour and training) and trust me it works, it teaches the dog that you are not going to take what ever he has fetched just swop it for something that he can keep.
