    I agree with most bit too young to be doing too much running, keep up with the training, it is the foundation to everything.

    She is motivated by sight and something that doesnt move and is no challenge will not be of any interest to her now. It may of been when she was younger but now she has experienced the actual chase why should she be bothered about something that is dead and no challenge to her. I would advise that you take her out on her own so she can have the chase and the kill, if you keep taking her out in a pack if she doesnt manage to get a kill she may decide not to bother chasing aswell. Hope this makes sense to you

    My whippet dog caught his the other night while he was out working, not bad enough to require vet assistance but i phoned up to enquire about having them removed about £120.00 he is going in to have them done i agree its the best thing for them.

    Thats cracking mate and at 8 mths as well, i hope my little bitch is like that at 8 mths, my dog is 13 mths and he is still a bit sticky at bringing back to hand l ol

    Hi, i have 2 whippets my dog is kept in a kennel and at the moment my bitch is in the house only because she is 16 weeks and i like to bring all my pups in to socialise them well. My dog is fine outside as long as the have plenty of bedding and the kennel is watertight and draught proof they should be fine. I use shredded paper for bedding for all my kenneled dogs they seem to be able to make like a nest in it. Hope this helps you.

    Hi everyone, yes another newbie here. I love every aspect of the country life from shotgun shooting to working my 2 whippets and my lakeland x patterdale (when she is old enough) lol. I will try and join in chats with you but my partner is also a member on this website so it is who ever gets the lap top first lol
