Frank, I know you'll do her proud, looking forward to seeing her grow into a lovely confident lady

    MILLIE.

very nice Frank, she does look very nervous, and she looks huge in that second picture! I'm sure you will make her more confident day by day, I hope she's does what you want her to in the future with her being so shy and nervous do you think she has had much socializing? you might have a job on your hands bringing her out of her shell, but with lots of TLC I'm sure she will be fine
  3. I'd disagree with you Witton, whippets feel the cold more than most dogs, and not having the pups litter mates to huddle up to, she will be cold by her self and then she will cry all night, a heat-lamp just for the night time through the winter is a must for whippet puppies living outside IMO, a hot water bottle is ok (I wouldn't without checking on it every hour or so), beacuse it must be wrapped in a blanket or towel to save the pup burning, and the pup must not be able to get to it and chew it, plus a few hours later and it becomes cold again, heat lamp on a chain is much better,
  4. any news yet Frank? did you get her?
  5. Thanks Frank I couldn't be more pleased with them! one thing I have to try and stop though is when my daughter (who's 9) bends over to stroke them her hair falls down and the pups jump, grab her hair and start ragging it :11: funny to watch, (I'm a cruel mum) but my daughters not impressed now they are getting bigger and stronger  (must stress though they have never gone for her face, it's just her long hair, they love it, and I'm always there to rescue her ) and it was her fault for them loving her hair so much, she used to lie down on the floor and let them ra
  6. you know my thoughts on this Frank so I won't bother repeating them
  7. still got 4 boys left, this is the little girl I'm keeping her name is Lexi this is one of the boy's still available (Diesel), being told to sit for a treat, YES they have ALL learned to sit already and have started to cry at the back door to be let out for the toilet too
  8. have emailed your girlfriend since it's her that will be looking after Teegan :11:
  9. not a pups face but a human babies face :11:
  10. it won't be 'Strike while the irons hot' (Glen) as the father, as he is Mike Browns top stud at the moment and is still owned by Mike, and the fella Frank is going to see has both parents there, but it could be a son of his, still a top dog I'm sure
  11. good luck Frank you won't go wrong with a bitch from them lines, I've also heard about the injections too due to mum's protection still being active, anyway I hope she's everything you've wanted keep us posted!
  12. both been trained exactly the same way to start with! you missed off the TO START WITH! bit, my friend of 20 years took over with Binx for a while (he's been hunting since he was 14 years old and is now 56 so i'd say a very experianced hunter) even he said that the dog was a wuss! he did however say he was a damn good runner when the ferrets bolted the rabbits, just not good with bushes, hedges, bad weather, so I have my do anything non-ped bitch to do all the work Binx don't want to do and then Binx to catch them in the open, he's very good at that bit, if my bitch is still in the bu
  13. stunning! I love the way they cover thier kill, never failed to be impressed by these birds
  14. I agree, I've got a racing bred whippet, and a non-ped whippet, I'd never get a racing whippet again for hunting IMO they just don't compare, maybe it's the fact that my racing bred whippet had to have his 2 retained testicals removed (lower testosterone may play a part) I don't know? but my non-ped has been a dream to own and train, (learn't very quickly and had that basic killing instinct from the moment I walked her onto a field, she went straight into hunting mode by herself!) I trained my racing whippet exactly the same and he's just a coward when it comes to bad weather and hed
  15. so nice to hear they are doing well, Taska is deffo one to watch in the future, Inca will be the stalker type by the sounds of it Diesel and Derry are a double act here at the moment, one will distract and the other goes for the throat, they have started to do the same with my ankles! I'll be stroking Derry (acting so daft and cute) and Diesel will creep up behind me and take a chunk out of my ankle, and then Derry will dive in to help his brother! the little swines, :11:
  16. I wish you all the best with little Zac (lovely name you've picked) and thanks for the pictures you sent of him, he looked so content in his new home, I hope he does you proud and becomes a great hunter, after all I tried to give them the best start in life I possible could and now the rest is up to you p.s I know you were shocked that he was already toilet trained but do expect the odd accident to happen, all the best

  18. lmao! I hope they are up to no good Fezz! that's the way they have been reared to cause havoc and mayhem seriously though you had me fave girl (after Lexi though) Taska, she is so bold and brash, and wasn't scared of nothing! she took all the boys on and won deffo an alfa female! Lexi has taken over the roll now
