  1. i would use a proven bitch of around 26tts and of which is a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull and is a racey build but solid with it. i know maybe a bit much looking for a bitch of that calibra but you could also turn to a 3/4 greyhound with a 1/4 collie in in mate but around about the same size and is a proven fox dog ( its got to be catching week in and week out though). but thats my opinion mate as i am in the same situation as you apart from my dog is worked hard. all the best mate steve
  2. we can go out one night and catch nothing at all and be out for hours then another night we could just go 50yards and get something, just your luck mate. i can remember two of us clocked over 110 miles and seen absolutly nothing, it was a great night weatherwise aswell. we have it hard up our way mate, you have to put in alot of miles per night.
  3. these are old pics at a high fitness level, not fully fit but getting there.
  4. i have never used one but would like to. its another means of exercise especially if the treadmill has a degree of incline. this would tighten up the dogs muscles and give them stamina.(summer training) walking + trotting + the occasional running + diet = an excellent conditioned animal. i cant see the problem with using a treadmill for the extra exercise, but you still have to walk your dog. You could use the treadmill everytime you clean out there pens, runs or kennels and set it to a 2-3degree incline.
  5. RIP bull greyhound dog 24tts 8years old His sire was a red 1/2 cross called BOWLER and his dam was a brindle 1/2 cross called BELLE. BOWLERS sire was FLYNN which is belly brother to PUNCH,... TAG and .. MEG. Thats all i know about him. had all quarry pre ban, foxes day and night, deer, daytime hares, rabbit In my opinion he is a 110% dog which has an abundance of determination and pace, quick off the mark, sticks to quarry, retreives, hunted with terriers, worked hard day and night, jumps about anything. putting him at stud because he has in my eyes earned the righ
  6. my opinion mate, is you have been ripped off big style, im a joiner and i wouldnt even put a rat in that thing. if i was to knock that up i would charge 20pound. what you will get is a blistered, split hut mate, which will leak in. Thats shuttering ply they have used, which is is not used for building dog kennels etc, its just cheap and with being in the elements(weather) it wont take long for it to bubble and split. just advice mate steve

  12. honestly mate, he has been injured, he was a nervous pup to start with, it was just a normal standard barb wired fence, im in no hurry with him mate, hes just one of these dogs thats just going to take time, no need to rush him, he needs to be 100% before he starts quarry.
  13. here is a photo of my bullgreyhound TEX. He has finally just stopped growing, he now stands at 28inch tts, had a set back with an injury during a walk. He got hung up on a fence and knocked his confidence to putt, but now hes coming on. i havnt done anything with him quarry wise although he is 17months old, just trained him on stock, jumping etc. just thought i would update his photo and show you how he has changed.
