    Hi find a falconer local if possible lurn the ropes and then decide if it is for you. Get lots of books and read up on. Travel to see birds working if you can find someone to take you out! When trained the birds work great with ferrets. If you do get a bird make sure it sees the ferrets daily and knows they are not to be flown !! Please take time to lurn as to many are getting birds only to pass them on when it's not for them. ATB and welcome. Lee

    Hi feed her up on the first few kills as said, so she know you won't rob her! I use a large cut of leather that covers the whole rabbit! If you can slip a bag under and around the rabbit, I place a good reward chunk of food a just out of reach so she has to let go to get the tip bit. As soon as scoop the rabbit in to bag and job done.     Yes, not sure on cost as don't have folder to hand i think it was about 50 something quid for super cover package these were very helpful and have a good rep, they changed owners last year but my premium still went down! Worth giving them a call !! ATB Lee

    I use this and then neetsfootoil on top. I give the co cha line a good rub in and the the next day I give them a coat of neetsfootoil. ATB Lee

    Very good point there. I phoned the help line before purchase and they checked with the lab and called me back. I believe two eagle were poisoned in this way last year one of them died !!! ATB Lee

    Layer I find are best, if walking you get hot so can take a layer off if standing over ferrets for a long time you can keep the layers on. I don't spend much on wellies any more due to knackering two expensive pairs in as many weeks one set on hidden barbwire and one on hawthorn bushes! Warm hat not fur lined as the bird will be no you like a flash!! Mini snacks are good just incase the day is longer than you think. Also if ferreting now I tend to say no to the just one last hole before leaving as the ferrets seem to always kill down on that last hole! Sods law !! So I make the decision and st

    Hi a little owl bolt out the hole in to the net. Untangled the little fella and let him go, He gave me a look then landed in the tree behind us and sat watching us. Nice!! ATB Lee
