  1. Hi, You could try repetition in a dark room on off on off on off etc. Might teach him to be steady when hood is remove! It Does show he is alert and ready for the off, have you flown him directly from the hood straight at prey? As this may have started to problem, even if it was once they seem to remember. Do you only hood when going hunting as this may have got him thinking hood off and time to go! So you could try hooding different times and places so the repetition is broken and he is not expecting to be unhooded and flown straight away. Why exactly do you keep him hooded. Doe

He flew around 1.7 1/4 we went to linconshire with the loacl club and this little fella was fear less he took two hare for me, one on each day we were there. Not the longest flights but he hung on well until I got there. Only problem the pics are all on the old pc with blue screen of death. He was not my bird but owned and flown by a friend on the landfill sites where he took on gulls the size of bomber planes. When my friend lost the contract he sold the bird on and he had a call back from the guy saying he

    Red Kites

Never had on stoop the bird but have had to hide from they a couple of time. They come over for a look and follow on for ages. I distracts my bird a little as he has one eye on what's constantly about us. So I just spend five mins sitting it out until the kite has passed. Sometime it comes back and we play the same game. There are loads a the land fills around this area but never heard of then being a problem to birds. Good luck ATB Lee

    Hi All

Hi they recon about 4ft is just above ground frost hight but the higher the better. The first year as well is apparently the most dangerous time for frost / cold injuries. I have a heater in mine, I put look out for cats as Vladamir has a wing injury due to kitterns on the roof. He also has small one on other wing from crashing in to a tree in very high winds with a sudden gust! I love to fly him in high winds He works hard and the flights are fantastic. With both injuries being minor and only an issue when in moult one feather stays in blood. Also get a good vet! He has had a thorn in his fo

    Hi All

Getting a young bird will have no vices. As said if the bird is a screamer it can be masked by fat weight, it's when the bird is at flying weight with a bit of hunger that it can start to call. Some bits of advice if I may feel free guys to add or criticise Good luck with what ever you get.telemetry is a must they can be right next to you in cover and you dont see the buggers. If I can add one thing feed the bird away from house !! when you get started on the training and try not to fly it in the garden my bird is fairly quiet because of this. I Free lofted for 2 weeks with sight of me

  18. My wife walked in to the dinning room last night and pored boiling hot carrots peas gravy mash and sausages over her head. I'm putting the dinner on she said. How we laughed on the way to the burns unit !! Whilst out treasure hunting me and my friend were horrified to unearth a dead body some what badly decomposed, how we laughed when we realised we were digging in the local cemetery !
