I once read a very good post on how to centralise the cross hairs on a photon. I have been using mine with shims and the cross hairs near the bottom of the screen and I've had enough.. If you wrote the post can you give me a link please as i cant find it and could do with it Smithie

Glad you found a twine your happy with ?. Its Engles twine for me on a hand made net if I'm going To to the trouble. But I do have a very nice handmade net that was gifted to me by albert64, I don't know were the twine is from nor do I remember what it is but it seems to hold as well as anything else I used

Out of intrest do you think the linen is better than other twines available? Having not seen it I am curious.

Nowt wrong with sheet netting. I prefer to use sheet netting for the most as it's cheap and easily replaced.

I'm not really a fan of the quickest but they do the job for the ferreter.. some just can't get to grips with a traditional net, some don't want to and others will find it too slow

Not been out much of late. It's summer, I'm getting fatter and more lazy with it. I know if I don' show my face somebody else will be on my permission as the farmers would rather another gun on the land than rabbits. Had about hour and half with only 1 rabbit close enough to shoot. Standing shot about 35 yds. I thought it was a clean kill but I had to give it a second pellet..

One of the farmers had spoke about a lot of rabbits in 1 field were I don't often go and hes' little grass on due to the short fall in rain. Mr wilk and I had decided to have a little drive over to run a net out and see how we fared. Wind was poor and the sky as clear with the moon sitting low but we was there so we give it a go. Working together we ran 2 x 50yd nets out along a hedge line and then made our way around the back of the rabbits walking the field in. due to the house lights lighting up the fields it was possible to see the rabbits getting up. It was good to see even watching
