  10. thank's for the reply mate. it's just that these are made out ov 8mm thick steel rod an i've never seen steel one's only alluminium an stainless stainless ones might be a bit fancy dan. i have 8mm and 6mm mild steel and in an older post somebody was advised to let the pins go rusty to stop the hank sliding off.. to me it sounds like very good advice although something ive not considered before.. cant do that with alloy or stainless
  11. yes there normaly made from steel.. you just got to be more when running out the net. most are on steel endpins although there is some ally ones...
  12. glad to see you didnt turn to the quickset..well done
  13. but then you have a clumsy basket. that wont be so bad if your were your ment to be but if your not..... it will be hard to run with it on.. just make yourself 25yd nets with 100% and if you mess 1 up you still have a usable 25 yder to play with. f**k up a 50 and you have no more nets, time to go home im afraid. you just need practice, keep running out and picking up in the daytime and the night time mistakes will be less frequent.. if you go quickset the tradnet has betten you..
  14. he wound the netloft up... it is nomore
  15. 100% bagging all the way mate, why not make a 50 and a 25 ?? ATB REDEYE got to agree with redeye.. 100% bagging every time. why not make a 50 yd and 25 yd net? and practice in the day time then you will be less likly to lose control.. i find my hands are too small for 50 yders of bigger and i struggle picking up onmy tod
  16. i always read as a guest and only siign in if i can contribute with a post.. as you can see by my post count thats not often
  17. Went out today couple of hobs a40yd longnet and the 2 older dogs the land was wet and muddy but getting the metal poles(MasterHunter) into the ground was a nightmare you'd of had no chance with Hazel Y.I.S Leeview cant argue with that i supose... looks like hazels not a goer.. but i manage on my trad net last light... not that i caught owt
  18. why not use hazel. it will fix to tour net and the price is right
  19. yes your going to need a longnet and as your asking what net you will need i asume you have no experiance or very little.. i would try to find somebody local to show you how to longnet as the first time you get a bad tangle it will be for the bin or the back of the shed.. its only easy when you know how and its not always easy then..
