  1. Them that dont want big cats or dont believe will find a way to discredit any evidence shown and them that want cats In the wild will believe any evidence and see what they want in any thing put forward to them.. This thread could be 500 more pages and nothing changed.
  2. They aint no longnetters anymore there all quicksetters that's why theres no advice. They repeat what they read not what they experience. I'd delete that section lol
  3. I once made a 25yd drop net. It was 6 poles 8ft tall with a pointy end. Each pole would split In 2 as it was threaded in the middle. The idea was easier to store. On top of each pole it had a threaded hole and if I remember correct I used to put a washer on with running line fixed. 5yds inbetween washers and a long length each end to anchor the end poles and stop them pulling to the centre.they would be 5yds apart to keep it the correct spacing at the top for the net. Bottom would be measured out when placing poles. On each pole I had 2 steel rings with a bar connecting them at the
  4. It will be your car boot, say what ever you thing you can get away with ?
  5. They can ban what ever they want.. I'll keep nets on farm so I dont have to travel with them..
  6. Well I bought one as well.. I seen too many pictures of dead squirrels, magpie and crow and got sucked in.. I think the andispark pheasant thread was the final straw lol
  7. But I would also not say it wasn't.. Was not clear enough.
  8. Leeview had one (drop net). He will be the man to talk to.. He once sent me some pictures of his I'm sure he would still have them
  9. No I have not bud. Try a friends if you can before you spend. You spend shite you get shite as i found out lol.
  10. I have one and its pants.. save your money 15mm Might be ok but I think you need to spend 1500 ish..
  11. Try putting beef drip on your roast spuds before they go in oven, I also like it In Yorkshire puddings.
  12. That should not be a problem..
  13. Auto electrician, all cars will be electric
  14. I would replace as little as I can get away every time.. I'm both tight and lazy
  15. That's ok if its pest control..plus you dont have to pick em up to chuck In the hedge.
  16. I'm not a believer but if they are out there I hope you manage to prove it after all that effort
  17. And the shooting farmers.. if rural police dont have them they will once they realise people use them to spot or poach with. Thermal is not the problem, it peoples greed and the need for the well done pat on the back.
  18. I'd say a thermal could be seen as progression. Once upon a time there was no lamps and the dog would be run in the day. Then the lamp came along. (Progression). Not all dog men lamp but most seem to and the younger lot coming through will probably turn thermal for the most. No doubt some will still use a lamp but its just times changing imo.
  19. Because of all of the big cat talk I have started listening to some podcasts on the subject. Somebody said he believes there are as many as 250 cats wild. If that was so surely they would be some quality pictures doing the rounds..
  20. I think they would be good to have but.. if your a poacher and the police take your dog I would epect the thermal goes as well so maybe spend as little as you can get away with..
  21. Retired my arse.. they shown me the door and said dont come back ? I still will need to work until the day I die.
