My pegs are from my armpit to the end of my fingers (almost) i set my net 18/20 inch but i like extra lenght on the peg if the ground is soft so i can push it in to the ground a little deeper. the rest is as above -

personaly i dont think long netting is a dying art, but its on the up and becoming more popular after martin kings book and the easy use of the quickset. still its not a bad efort and better than i could manage. good luck with it

Thanks for the reply some very interesting points including the three 5 yr jail sentences it would empty a few prison cells it would also move some of the undesirable from the gean pool and save our broke goverment some money... win win win

should hanging be brought back id vote yes for hanging and i would prefer that to giving the injection as its not as humane and would be more of a deterant.. who would i hang? thats easy.. murderers, all sex offenders and anybody that been given prison 5 year sentences 3 times or more as these people will not to the line.. imsure before hanging they would have to do some jail time to a. suffer and b. most importantly give them time to prove there inocence.. i woulb be happy to do the job of Albert Pierrepoint
