  7. Colour is not an issue but a good harsh coat on a working terrier is important to withstand the weather.I have seen fine coated dogs while tied out at a dig for long periods and they shaking with cold while a terrier with a good coat on it wont feel the cold, same applys while the terrier is working in damp wet conditions,eg,peat earths or land drains can be very wet and often a terrier can be standing to its shoulders in cold water working its quarry so imo a good coat is important. I have to agree seen it happen a few times, a good harsh dense coat a must in a working terrier. what ever
  8. does she graft em ----- not likely. not even the odd squirrel in the park, they might get dirty.
  9. don't think it will be long before the pat is kc registered, ive been working in Sheffield. one of the big posh houses near the job a fat woman breeds pats, she must have 7 or 8 in very posh kennels. I was talking to her when she was walking a few of them. not a thing she didn't no about the breed. all the names bray buck ect. £450 a pup when she breeds and theres a waiting list. just like to add, theres plenty of people with them in that area and every one looks perfect.
  10. very nice, very strong capable looking terriers there a credit to you and a strong believer in what you keep,if I did live and hunt in a country with more relaxed hunting laws than the uk and was able to let my terriers run without the fear of them earthing themselves in badger setts {illegal in this country uk}there is no doubt I would give the jagd terrier a place in my kennels. unfortunately I have to keep within the law and keep my terriers on couplings ,and choose the earths for them to work instead of the terriers choosing the earths they want to work ,keep up the good work yis a very jea
