    Strictly ferreting 1 an 2, get real poor after 2 , or coneycatcher 1 an 2 wasn't as keen on the third one.just my opinion.

    They are clearly superlative freezer fillers, i've seen one on numerous occasions on a documentary about the yorkshire dales, my assumption is based on the fact that the dogs owner, a mr.greengrass was very fat from eating what the dog caught for him.Fact.

    I think they must use it at night NL, if its a primary sense its how you think they use it in different situations that I was waffling on about, as opposed to the obvious ways we normally think of.walking with the lamp off and the dog pulls other way, lamp on rabbit there, that type o thing, or both go out the beam into drivin rain howlin gale pitch black yet the dog coes back with its rabbit, its certain it couldn't see it, how much would nose feature then?     No not that kind, im referring to 'nose' or scenting ability in our animals, obviously it's hugely important to them virtually the primary sense we are told, however do we value it as highly as part of their working arsenal? Dogs that are marking etc then it's use is obvious, im thinking more of how much of a role it plays eg when a dog is actually running, in or out of cover, into driving rain, out of the lamp and so on.do you find different breeds better scenters or opportunity and success can create a good nose, or just not bothered about it?     I believe things have improved a little, at least these days you ask a question or advice and a quick sift through will give a rough idea of peoples thoughts and where the popular opinion lies.in the old days you had the fallacies of a handful of authors to turn to or if you were real fortunate mebbe a old boy to help you along, still only providing one school of thought though.failing that theres some bonny pictures on here

    I've trained to the whistle for the last 25 year, not like using it for a gundog.+ older they get less they need it.weigh the pro's and cons between a single whistle or standing shouting a name.
