Saluki246-Your not like 99% of the folks that say they like wolves...but have never seen one, or know what they really are like in the wild...are ya? Stabba-..."Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms"... Take care. -

Saluki246-"i personally like wolves, everyone has different opinions and experiences..." What is it you like about them? What expieriences have you had with them? Take care. -
The dog IS the gun in my rig. Odds are, the reason the coyote got in the hole in the first place is because the other dogs wernt tough enough to stop it. Make enough excuses for your dogs and soon you wont even have to take them... Whippet 99-I think you summed it up..."not knowing much about yotes or hunting yotes" Take care.

Those fellas have never dug to a terrier. They have no idea it could hurt one, but truth is with the dog not wedged in, I wouldnt worry to much about hangin onto the tail. They arent machines, but they arent made of glass either... Take care.

Lets just say this. Good luck catchin a white tail with a dog unless the situation is way in your dogs favor and catching a pronghorn aint friggin happening unless something goes drastically wrong for the goat. Thanks for the reply. I've always wondered about Pronghorn. They said that the Blackbuck of India was uncatchable but I think some pure saluki's caught them by a war of attrition. How would, say, a greyhound compare to a whitetail, speedwise? thanks JD J Darcy-The way to catch them is to wear them down. Speed alone wont do it for dogs, IMO. Take care.

skycat/bird-Our blacktail jackrabbits (hares) mostly stay where the sage is thick, so not great running. The coyotes live on mice, voles, whistle pigs (gophers), badger, antelope fawns, deer fawns, sheep and calves etc... We run jacks on the lamp, and on the occasion we find one in the open. There are spots and folks here that just run hares. Take care.

Skycat-We are miles apart from each other, and hunt all the ground between us. There is ALOT more ground than that though. I had an Englishman here to hunt years ago, and the thing he seemed most amazed by was the vastness... Take care.

Mother and son Bullstags. Used for different tasks, but not sure I could pick between them. Take care. -
lurcher1-Not all the folks that run coyotes from a truck do it the same...a coyote can be run as much or as little as the driver decides, and the dogs can be sent from as close or as far as the driver decides. Some depends on the terrain, some depends on the reason the coyote is being hunted, but most depends on the amount of faith the driver has in the dogs! Take care.

My guess is Dan wont be using it as a running dog lurcher on the lamp, but more as an all arounder (varmit killer) in the brush, similar to his curs. Being vocal wont be a bad thing for him, it may even be a good thing. I think he wants a bigger, faster Jagd rather than a smaller, quieter lurcher. Take care.

Jawn-"I am looking for a dog that will not kill the hunting dogs. I am looking for a dog that will anchor and subdue game without regard for it's own well being." I think you probably have a better chance of getting one than the other, with a EBTxEli dog, but you wont know until ya try... Take care.

uru-You know its a different pup...your gut has been tellin you all along what the truth is. They could have sorted it out with a new pic in seconds, but they didnt. I cant imgine not wanting to drive over, and take the pup, but at least let everybody know who the culls are! It wont be a one time trick, I can tell you that. Take care.

They can run...but they cant hide Take care.

GOBSHITE-Im not talking specifically about terriers, just dogs in general. From 6 years old on they are on the the decline physically. I think dogs are at their best from 3-5, and thats when I enjoy them the most. Im not big on puppies either LOL Im not talking about discarding the proven dogs, by any means. Im talking about getting them in hands of folks that will benefit from them, and treat them with the proper respect they have earned. Im always working with the expectation that the up and coming stock will be as good or better than the current stuff, so Im not afraid to let some go. The

I rarely keep a dog over 5 years...they are starting to lose a step, but still have plenty of life left to help others. Are we required to keep every dog until it dies of old age? Take care.
-
Do the 1/2 cross dogs still retain the EBT head or is it lost on the first cross? I have seen some EBT looking dogs that im curious if they have outside blood, or if they are just better made EBTs? Any thoughts or pics on EBT crosses? Take care.

English Bull Terriers

WBT-Your talking about big trophy boars like thats all you catch...we both know that aint the case. I have caught hogs in a pen, and wild cattle, so I have a little bit of an idea of what it takes to make a catch dog. I have been in arms length of bears and mtn lions on several occasions, (I dont carry a gun) so walking into a hog bay/catch isnt goin to make me pee down my leg. I have seen some shit eaters catch coyote and fox, but most couldnt keep one caught. How many coyotes have you seen run down by dogs in the swamp? LOL What crossbreds have you seen catch coyotes...maybe I need to chang -
