  4. I still think you've forgot a certain 32lb Red Dog there Bob that showed a hell of a lot of promise ... and also won in open competition off the back ...
  5. Thankyou, we've really enjoyed looking at those pictures , it looks like the dogs have all had a fantastic day. Shame you're so far away
  6. I put a 54lb Champ to a 29lb Champ , what size do you rekon these made
  7. All in one bed (4 soon to be 5), fully enclosed inner boxes raised 4" off the floor (they have a choice of two beds so don't have to share if they don't want to), kennel coats on and bedding made of two thick single duvets piled up so they can tunnel under if they like (which one does). Fed at night just before it starts to get cold so they have plenty of energy to keep nice and then a tray of warm breakfast in the morning.
  8. I'd better get the beers in LMAO

  9. It better be a good story if I'm waiting until July to hear it !!!

  10. Hello stranger, how's my red dog getting on ? I take it nothing came of his mating to the greyhound bitch. Seen Zaks latest pups, they look gorgeous. Don't have Lucy any more, she now a completely spoilt pet and loving it!

  11. - time's getting on

  12. What kind of designer breed is that then ? Greyt Bullweiller ?
  13. They tend to give antiB's to err on the side of caution just in case the dog picks up a secondary infection in the lungs (like a person starting with a cold and getting a chest infection). Must admit mine have had cough twice now - 2years ago the then four I owned caught it, I used Ecchinacea, devil's claw, honey and warm water 2-3 times a day, kept them warm in the house. Earlier this year one of the youngsters got it (under 2 years of age) and the other young bitch caught it, sods law I had 4 week old pups, I treated them all in the same way though the pups never caught it and neither di
  14. If you mean for injuries etc. then some sort of absorbent lint or padding, a bandage, some vetwrap, antiseptic wipes, water, a bit of honey and be prepared to carry your dog back to the vehicle if he goes badly lame. In the car if you're a way from home or veterinary help then also carry icewraps (migraine patches are handy as they can be applied and bandaged into place), a bottle of disinfectant for wound washing. More bandages, cotton wool, absorbent pads etc. I always carry old razor blades just incase you need to shave a bit of the dogs fur off to get better access to the injury site.
  15. I'd never swam mine before but after one suffered an injury I spoke to a physio and a vet who both recommended swimming. I picked up a 15ft pool for cheap off eBay and although they're not all keen they all have a good swim, the bitch with the injury came on really well.
  16. ready for a dip in the pool

  17. Good Stuff , mine will be having a visit from an Osteopath soon, my 18mths bitch has just done her first pass in racing (lucky 3rd attempt) so she'll need the once over before she dons her jacket and muzzle .
  18. I've got a 19mths bitch still waiting on her first season too. No worries, some take a very long time to come in, I have never had a bitch come in earlier than 16mths and the longest I waited was just short of 2 years.
  19. I'm sure someone has an osteopaths number for you. She may have knocked her back out, the disc would put pressure on the nerves when she's stretching out causing her to short stride or kick a leg out. An osteopath should be able to sort this out, or detect if there is another injury causing her problems. If you haven't got a number in the morning I'll have a dig around and see if I can't find the contact details for Rob Meeks, I have his number somewhere.
  20. relaxing after a walk with the gang

  21. Just lost the little dog pup. Unlike his thriving littermates he was struggling and despite the best efforts of the bitch and a helping hand from me he went suddenly downhill. Managed to bring him back once but nature got her way in the end. The 3 bitches and 1 remaining dog continue to feed and thrive, dam is doing well, she was a star licking and nudging her little dog to try and get him going. Some things just aren't meant to be I'm away to the sofa to get my first sleep since so long I can't remember. Though I doubt I'll nod off entirely, always one ear open to sounds from th

  23. Maybe some sleep tonight I tell you there's some right crap on TV on the wee small hours Blaze is doing brilliantly given all that she went through, the second she came round from the anaesthetic she was looking in the box and wanting her puppies. I had the ideal opportunity too to ask the vet about c-sections and how recovery times seem to differ from one vet surgery to another (a discussion I'd been having with some people just the week previously). She's a little tender around the scar at first but she let the puppies on her straight away. There's been no milk through yet but t
