  1. Try Duck Shooting by Colin Willock
  2. A while ago when I trapped for the LDNP I'd catch my call birds by setting up a Larsen near a layby frequented townies and used their or dummy fish and chip papers or take out meal containers. Worked a treat.
  3. Well that'll be me, vertically challenged. The punt was professionally built in 1946ish and the cockpit is quite roomy.
  4. I am a Landrover fan and have owned one or two, but now having to squeeze three cars on the drive there wasn't the room. I bought a VVT Jimny and to be honest I thought it wouldn't be up to the job. Small it is, but it pulls my boats well, and it has surprised me by getting the punt off the shore without ripping up the ground or hardly spinning a wheel. I'm getting 40 to 45 mpg on petrol and these days it's looking more and more like a good buy.
  5. She's a double just under 22foot with 4 foot beam. Small or medium take your pick.
  6. I reckon I was lucky, we had at least two of BB's, two of Scott's, a Mr Crabtree (I think), and one by Bell the white hunter, there were a few of Scott's prints around too. You're right though, not the thing for todays kids to read, but I'll bet there's plenty of weirdo stuff. 7. Easy stuff now, real hunting and trapping stopped 20 years ago due to a bad bike smash, lung scaring and skin cancer. I've just had my right knee replaced, it was worn out by a snapped ligament. The new knee is a problem and walking is a pain. But you name it and I've probably done it.

  8. oryt pal wat do u hunt

  9. I signed up 12 months ago and it appears I didn't introduce myself or to be honest participate much. Please accept my apologies. I started my love of field sports at a very tender age controlling sparrows in the garden with a catapult and following otter hounds initially for free crisps and lemonade. Later my first terrier got me into ratting, rabbiting and fell fox hunting. At 11 years old my older cousin introduced me to wood pigeon and duck shooting. My "chore" was to clean and look after his gun.(yes it was that long ago) When the moon was up and Raymond on 12hours night shift I'd sn
  10. Is the motor burning oil? Did the problem start after you topped up the engine oil? If you over filled the excess oil might be finding it's way into the combustion chamber giving the symtoms you descibe. Or, and hopefully not, the turbo oil seal could be starting to fail. Dave
  11. Hello, I've been a bit of a countrysports nut all my life, but I'm now reduced to a little sedate fowling and fishing due to an over active youth. Man! these computers do my head in, I don't think I'll ever get the hang of them. I hope this works
