  4. my dog jumped the back gate after a cat one night and at the other side he landed on the wheelie bin his back leg caught in the handle of the bin he was hanging by his leg screaming i taught it broke but it was all right gave me some fright
  5. keep him on the lead out walking in public places give him a strict correction when he shows an interest in attacking another dog then do interviews wit a mates dog in a of side place if he wants to attack no body will see u using a strict hand in a of side place im not saying beat the sh1t out of the dog but let him no when u say no u mean no ,how is he wit live stock

I think if you run them on there own alan they become a better dog for it,more determent to catch as there not waiting on the second dog to do the work for them,as mack said i have seen a dog lie in behind another and let it do the work until the turn then it takes the glory. cheehs fat man the dog is more determent and puts a lot more effort into catching his fox when on his own

  14. i started bringing my pup lurcher out when he was 8 months watching other dogs doing the bizz he didnt get his first slip till he was 10 months wat u need to do is get between the rabbit and his closest cover because more than likely thats wher the rabbit is going to head for if u can get witin 10 12 feet of the rabbit stop and encourage ur dog to look just say tis tis usally gets the pup alert hopefully by now the rabbits ears will start to twitch before he makes a break for it if ur dog still hasent senn it run towards the rabbit getting him excited if u think ur dog would catch up wit the r

  17. im talking about experence dogs that have always being doubled up but have a better catch rate when sliped on there own
  18. young dog has to learn that the fox bites back no point in just letting dog rag dead fox because when u let him down on his own he s in for a nasty shock
  19. caught a hare in a long net one day it only had 3 legs it looked like it was born this way because it only had a little stump wit no scar and covered wit hair he looked like an old boy tp let run for another day
  20. when lamping foxes wit lurchers pre ban for some lads did u find that ur dog would catch more single than he would catch doubled up , im not to sure but when to 2 dogs are running togeter would one be dominant over the other,, its just something i notice at the end of the season when the dog was on his own he rearly missed a fox keep it all pre ban lads and lasses
