    Just bought a Daystate air ranger in 177 and its is quite literally the DUGS NUTS Best air rifle i`ve ever owned. Converted me to 177 and accuracy like you would not believe. All this asking about pre anti tamper makes me think you would be better keeping your 22 though.

    Cheap mince. Farmfoods or iceland have packs of the stuff and it suits them fine. Rabbits is the best mind, but cheapo mince works just fine

    5 quid and it had been frontlined and had the jill jab. Gave them a tenner cause I felt like ah wiz robbin them. Lovely wee dark polecat. Well pleased.     Remington and winchester for me like. Remi`s are slightly better. Better grouping and feel a bit harder hitting without any noticable increase in noise. ATB

    Hi My insurance is with BASA (British airgun shooters assoc) Twenty someting quid, and it covers all my FAC (22lr, .243 .shotgun etc etc) shooting as well. Good level off third party liability cover as well. Their adverts are usually in the airgun press.

Can be bought ON or OFF ticket depending on what you want to use it for. The P8 can be bought with a 177 insert for use on air rifles. Is this just a chance for you to try and show you know better than the people who uphold the firearms laws.     Aye right !! what mair dae yeh want me to say. Spoke to 2 RFD`s and then spoke tae firearms licensing (pretty sure they know their stuff like !) "therefore, you need an FAC to possess, purchase or acquire one." If that was the case why can a mod thats to be fitted to an air rifle be bought off ticket ??? (Refer again to my Parker Hale statement) Ask your FLO. It may be a firearm (so is an airgun) but it need not be on ticket until it`s to be fitted to a fac rated weapon.     Yup Spoke to Fettes and they were happy. Explained that the guy I bought it from does not have it on a licence because he does not have one ( or any guns) It will be put on my licence on the available slot when I fit it to my rifle. Until then it`s just like any air rifle moderator. Still got a bargain

    Hi blokes. A mod is not a firearm until it is fitted to a rifle, then it must be on your FAC. Have double checked this with different RFD`s. You can have a rifle (threaded) and a mod to fit it does not have to be on your FAC until it is fitted. You are not commiting an offence by having a mod off ticket , only when you fit it to a rifle. total home office bollocks, but true all the same. Even if you have no slot for a moderator, you can buy one and not commit an offence. You must have a slot and put it on FAC to actually fit it to you`r rifle though. Still got a bargain thou

    Oh well Spoke to two RFD`s and both assured me it is OK to buy full bore moderators mail order etc (as secondhand) It only has to go on an FAC when it is actually fitted to the rifle. who knew eh !

    Ey up. I have been offered a Wildcat Predetor 8 moderator.(brand new in the box) The guy does not have it on an FAC cause at the moment it does not have a calibre insert and therefore is basically an airgun moderator (his view and words not mine) It is to be posted to me and I will then have to buy an insert for it and put it on my FAC(slot available). My question is, is this legal, are wildcat moderators available without inserts "off ticket". Thanks in advance for any help with this one. I am well aware of the law on moderators but not this Wildcat model.

    I have just ordered one from the SSPCA in Kelso. FIVE QUID !!! Had it`s jill jabs annaw. Have had bad dealings with Balerno before so am a bit reluctant to have owt to do with them. They will give them out to working homes ,cause thats mostly who wants them. Get them from a rescue instead of breeding them makes sense for a lot off folk.

    Awrite. L&B have been great with applications and variation for myself over the past years. I am in East Lothian and deal with Colin Malcom. Great bloke to deal with and very helpfull. Even forgot to send in a letter saying I had sold a shotgun and when they called to remind me they were great, told me to e-mail in a scan of the letter. I have heard that other forces can be a right pain with things like this.     Get mine from Drum feeds in Edinburgh. Cheap as anywhere else. keep at it with the dry feed cause once your ferrets are on it they love it. Very handy to be able to feed dry and I have found it makes for a cleaner court as well.Nice firm shits and a lot less flies during the summertime. ATB

    Ey up East Lothian has seen a drop in numbers over the past couple of years but it looks like they are coming back a bit. Even the moorfoots and lammermuir hills have seen a drop, but these areas go through cycles quite a lot. Things are looking up though. At the moment the game dealers round my way are desperate for rabbits.
