    How long is that period though. I`d buy anything at 1500 euro and acre anyway. Stick chickens or pigs on it until you can stick a house on it. And you don`t need a house on it to live on it either. Yurts, Vans etc.

    Some amazing comments on here. Who is anyone to decide what is a sport and what is not,? divide and conquer etc ! And hare shoots are NOTHING to do with keeping dog men away, total bullshit. And I run dogs and am involved with a shoot so have no loyalty either way on this. I find it distasteful and would never take part, but it is what it is. They can shoot hares, and we can`t run them, simple. But to blame the other for your sport being banned is blind ignorance.

    Been discussed to death Hare shoot were killing thousands way before any ban. They aren`t shot because of the ban They aren`t shot to keep poachers away They are shot because the estate need to control numbers. Some of these places shoot that many every year or two. A few caught with lurchers wouldn`t even dent that number. And complaining about someone elses sport because ours is banned doesn`t sit well, and doesn`t say much about the complainers. Give me dogs any day mind. Never took a gun on a hare shoot and never will.

    Rightey ho. People are evil, being Catholic does not make them any more or less evil. If these people were not nuns and priests, they would still be evil. I hate religion, as in reeeeaaaly hate it, with a passion, but , my Aunt is a Catholic nun and is the nicest most caring person you could ever meet. She has dedicated her life to looking after the elderly, and would have done equally pious things if she had be an atheist. People are evil they just use different tools to hide it.

    I know a bloke that does it for a large commercial salmon company. He uses .223. What I would say though, is don`t bother doing it yourself. Easier and cheaper to hire someone to shoot the offending seals for you.
