Can anyone tell me for certain what the rule is on this......................If i take a friend on my land to shoot(standing beside me) and he uses my gun but he does not have a license have i broken the law. This has always been my understanding but i have been recently told that i am doing wrong. Is it the same all over the UK? Cheers.

Just wondered who rents ground for horses on here. I have a 5 acre field that would be perfect for a few horses and i woulkd like to rent it out but i have no idea what a reasonable weekly/monthly charge would be. Any ideas anyone...?

Always been a firm believer that a pup should be allowed to be a pup till a year old. Yes simple commands like sit, stay and fetch can be introduced fairly early and some dogs will pick up things alot quicker than others but doing to much to early on can be just as bad as not enough later. Got myself 2 17 week old labs at the moment and so far have been good as gold.

Alright mate, never had a problem with barking dogs myself but ma dad( who is a greyhound man) is forever getting barkers and whiners. He had 1 dog that barked where he soaked it or threatened it wi the brush but he managed to get it to stop by splitting up its feeding times too half a bowl of food twice a day instead of 1 big bowl. Worth a try mate, saves falling out wi the neighbours eh?

Not sure of the numbers you are after mate but a sturdy crate which will hold 30 poults will be about £30. Clean them and store them in a dry shed and they will keep for years. -
The hard slog starts again setting up the rearing field, nightmare of a job but has to be done. Got 2 lab pups(16 weeks) to train up later on in the year too so happy days. Just getting the laying stock arriving as we speak so better get back to it.

If anyone on here has the unfortune to wake up in the middle of the night to burglars it must be a scary thing. If you then contact the police and they say that they cant come out unless a report of burgarly has been made then you should simply say "Ok officer thanks for your help, al just go and grab my gun and take a look for myself". They will be there quick as a flash.
