    The cheats are all good actors with no moral fibre at all. I don't know how they get away with it, they have no medical history due to not having what they claim to have. Bad backs used to be the big cop out, but now they have introduced the not what you cant do, but what you can do, all those fuckers with bad backs over the years have moved on to some thing else. It's called depression now.

    Ok yes I see what your saying......not something I have done in the passed but it's not to say I won't in the future.I think sometimes we strive to have the 'robotic' gundog and we loose sight of what the dog is capable in itself. Many times I've seen handlers ( some who trial there dogs) use the whistle too much and end up sending the dog off in the wrong direction. I think the most important thing is to be able to red your dog and trust it when picking live game. Cheers

    Really enjoy your posts mate.......you obviously know what your talking about. So what's do you think the benefits are of getting a dog to sit when it's at distance in the field?? When working my older dog he has never sat but he stops immediately when I whistle and he is looking at me for his next command. I think this is enough? Do you??

    Maybe they have but I doubt they are that much stronger, some Pits with smaller heads bite a hell of a lot harder than bigger dogs. The saying in the game "Dogs bite hard because they want to."I bet Big Vlad hits harder than Mayweather but I'd really not fancy a punch in the puss of any of them. I think the point I'm making is when you have 2 strong dogs with intent to harm both will do serious damage but the bigger of the 2 will have the more natural power.Power doesn't equate to bite strength though does it? Smaller Pitbulls have had harder mouths than other bigger dogs of the same breed.Ge

    Potted dog as my dad called it was a staple when I was growing up.. Don't see it around so much nowI'd never heard if it until I was up the borders a few weeks ago, cant wait to go up and get some more lol....its lovely with a dollop on piping hot chips. You need to get someone to make you potted hare( potted hough) mate......nice bit of bread, toasted and lots of pepper...??

    Is there any reason you want it to sit at distance from you? Really what is the benefit! As long as when you whistle the dog stops and turns its attention to you and is looking/listening for its next command the dog will do great.
