I'm no expert on Pheasant breeds in the UK, but there are quite a number of different ones out there, I'd guess that may be a Kansas Thunder. Perhaps someone who knows more may come along and throw some light on that. I think mongrel is the technical term...?

If you start feeding it you will soon name it and when you do that it will be destined to die in the most stupid way. The place where I used to pick up named s real tame one. It's very difficult to tell you start up costs. Simply because you could buy all new stuff or you could use second hand. But to make a wage from rearing if you base 20000 birds per man you'd make a decent living. Obviously the more you do the greater the profit. -
