Got the same problem in my workshop all bike tools and tool boxes are covered in condensation I’ve took the covers off the bikes and left them off I’ve had the heating in there going flat out to try dry them off
-
Good luck Dan I don’t blame you tbh the way the world’s going hope your adventure works out for you lot . I’ve got dreams of just f***ing everything off at some point and either getting a boat and cruising the cut or trying to get a plot of land to try becoming a smallholder on that’s something I’ve dreamed of most of my life since being young but had to try be normal like everyone else and fit in

I know this thread is written as if it belongs in the country man’s weekly and to get people to nibble . I like all running dogs all crosses I favour beddy mixes as I tend to get the most out this cross or should I say I did as I’ve chucked in the towel with working dogs for now but to claim the whippet greyhound was the best rabbit dog is completely lunacy the collie x greyhound still holds the best cross title for this day an night and doing numbers

Ain’t really got a clue how it all works a few people my kids included have suggested me setting up a utube channel with some of my bike builds I do show casing how I do things but to be honest I ant no camera man nor do I have a clue about editing I’m no technical wiz but if I did a channel it’d be raw footage it took them ages to get me to start a instagram account lol

Love a cone pipe in raw state but hard work to keep looking nice good shout getting it cerakoted apparently they do ceramic clear coat now if your in to the raw finish. Always handy having people near by that can offer services that you need for building bikes makes life easier a less stressful shipping parts. What bikes this pipe for a lambs?

Would that be the mikuni tmx 38 carb if so there shit they fitted them on the o3-05 kx125 there plagued with problems
-
I recon your get close to 2k mate on that ktm if your £1250 deep so far by the time you gone through everything else and all the misc parts but I guess that’s down to what you want to run with or what your happy to go again with. That cr500 build looks mental mate
-
That looks mint mateI’m the same i want to keep them all but lack of space means I have to sell one to make space for the next plus it frees up funds to fold in to the next project
-
Tell me about it I’m the same mate I like stuff done nice but once you start it’s hard to put something back on a bike that’s not to the standard you’d be satisfied with that’s were the over spending starts with me. That little pw your doing is going to be smart mate your grandkids are lucky 100 agree safety is important get some pictures up once completed mate itd be nice to see. Ill be looking out for another bike to build after Xmas is out the way I fancy building a keeper for my self something completely metal I like the 1999-2002 kx250
-
your be surprised mate once you start doing stuff properly using quality parts or using specialist to do stuff for you I could burn 2k easily on building a mx bike that little yz I’ve just done I’ve nearly 2k in restoration on that and that was supposed to be a budget build
-
Always on eBay sniffing about what I was getting at is you could buy a bike say 2700£ spend about 2k on it and it’s only worth 3k false economy mate
-
Those little pws seem to hold there money quite well. Least your doing a bit a couple of hours is better than not doing nowt mate. I’m gunna be on the lookout after Xmas is out the way for another mx bike just seems every one for sale they want strong money for them there’s no money in them to restore them a lot of the time you can’t break even your restoring them at a loss
-
Rc kx250 was mental I watched a video on the stuff they had to do to his bike because he was a small guy so he could race it the amount of mods to make it usable for him was crazy the 1999 split fire kx was my favourite mx bike of all time

Them early aluminium frame Hondas handled like shits I’ve heard a lot of people say and the engines were under powered think the later aluminium frame Hondas was meant to be better and engine combo 2001 on to 2006 I do favour steel frames better but do like the later yz frames my problem would be restoring a alloy frame that size I fancy restoring another bike or 2 next year I want to do my full license I should of done it years ago I’ve got a few bikes in mind I’d like to do if I can get my full license sorted
-
Pair of bikes I’ve restored this year 2000 yz125 2003 kx 125 resto mod
-
That’s what im thinking early spring time if I sell it I’ll only fold anything it goes for in to buying another bike to restore I want to do 2 bikes a year
-
It’s a 2000 model mate it’d be nice to see that for it I might bang it on eBay or get her indoors to put it on fb marketplace at some point
