I suppose it all depends on your uses for the dog And personal preference I’ve tryed small dogs (size of whippet) and they’ve been found wanting by me as there very restrictive on uses there ok for a spot off ferreting an mooching about but on big land the gears are not there a short lamp trip An the dogs burned out but cheap to feed less space for up keep an easy to keep fit were as a big dog is at the opposite end of the scale so my thinking is meet halfway on both as there’s no point in setting your self up for disappointment and restricting your self so 22-23.5tts is bang on for a master o

Good read this thread the bedlington x greyhound to me is a cross I highly rate if the ingredients in the melting pot are the right gear they make good serviceable traditional bred running dogs that are masters of none

It's a shame mate.Tip bits is the best way mate that's the way I'm doing it I found in the past it's the best way to get results I found with my self soon as the basic training starts and you start seeing results that's when An we're a bond is created your lad sounds like he's doing good mate keep it up and I'm sure he'll make a good serviceable dog for your needs. Don't forget to keep the updates coming

She's coming on real nice mate with her basic training I've just started to add a little jump for her to retrieve over. Yeah I keep in contact with everyone who had a pup they all seem to be doing ok One of the pups that went to a working home there getting rid of it unfortunately as they're saying there not bonding with him but I think the real reason is they've been doing feck all with it I think there expecting a straight out the crate dog that requires no basic training....

I've heard this before from people that pay for shooting rights they get very protective of the land they've had to pay to get on An they want to get there money's worth and try warning people off with all manner of little story's who you kidding fd you'd be shooting the hares any way given the chance same as anything else you see that moves. I know a local guy that sounds the same as you...a John Wayne that thinks he needs to fabricate little story's to warn people off the land he pays for shooting rights this same guy believes dogs are only for rabbits every thing else is for the gun and he

I don't go to shows no more I feel there to expensive and to be honest there not all that great the only decent part is the beer tent for the pop but even then you have to listen to dudes getting a bit exited An telling story's of world beater dogs they own whilest there wearing some kind of country side hunting costume. I'd rather spend my money on my dogs tbh
-
Shit doo that mate hope the gimps don't get your dogs! I had a similar thing with some Irish traveling lads they see me walking them they pulled me up asking about them what there are at An if I wanted to sell them I told them straight away there shit ones ligament damaged an the others a known jacker just to put them off I said I wouldn't sell them as there loved pets An no good for breeding out of as there both done...it didn't put them off the following day I was followed by them in a different vehicle I was on to them straight away so I took them on a little detour through all the local al

I'm going to say my collie/grey x whippet/grey with a small drop of deerhound blood she's done real well for me over the seasons day An night no world beater but a real honest bitch she's always tryed her hardest for me and been a pretty bomb proof bitch were injuries are concerned her luck ran out Friday night sadly she'll be visiting the greyhound man shortly but I've a feeling she'll be retired to the sofa

Best X For Only Lamping Rabbits Small Fields?
poxon replied to Lurcherdog96's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I'd go for a grew if the land was all nice grazing land taller than a whippet smaller than a greyhound or a half x bedlington greyhound or a racey mix of all of them -
Looking For Beddy X Whippet Pups
poxon replied to Who let the dogs out!'s topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
From what I can see online they charge £3-400 a pup.an the well off horsey type with bit of land pay it to have one hanging around the stable yard or trotting behind their horse.used to be Jack Russell's year's ago now it's a scruffy type lurcher. crazy dollar ain't it mate I thought about one, there was litter advertised other side of Abergavenny, they were pet homes only ,thought about fibbing to get one but not only were they top dollar they were not the first litter they had advertised before when googling the number,in the end I bought a labradoodle for £100 cheaper. (Though it's bloody u -
