  6. Thanks, i normally go with my gut instinct which is what you both came up with but an old fella came up to me the other day said hed had running dogs all his life,he said you will have nothing but leg trouble with that dog, he shouldnt be off the lead till at least 8mth.It made me feel really guilty!!
  7. Hi,just wanted your opinions. How much exersise do you think i should be giving my 14wk old greyhoundxbull pup? At the moment he has about 15mins off.. the lead twice a day and some exersise on a long line .With my other two dogs who where full greyhounds this was more than enough, they would basically look knackered before this. They both lived to a good age so i didnt do too much wrong! This new one is as tough as old boots and would carry on no mater what, he runs around with my old collie so its not too full on but hes not sussed out when enoughs enough and i dont want to cause any long term
  8. Been up there a few times myself and thorght it looked good!
  9. Thanks, is there any you would really recommend.
  10. Does anyone know of any events or shows coming up in the lancashire and surrounding areas?
  11. I used to use one of those old fashioned hair rollers.Put it round te top of the tail then tape it up.It had the advantage that the wound could breathe so the sore healed quicker.
  12. thanks, its a bull-greyhound- kerry blue. One of the best pups ive had up to now,im hoping to take it to the show in lancaster on the 19th of june.Have any of you had any dealings with kerryblue x?Would love to have some input from you all!

  15. Cheers mate, was thinking of going to a few of the lurcher shows this year, then start doing something ready for next season. Not met many proper dog people in the lancs area yet, been out of the game awhile having just had two older greys put to sleep, it would be great to meet up with some people to go through the ropes again with...any help would be really appreciated.
  16. Thanks stroller, just want to get things right... a bit of a perfectionist really.
  17. She from dam...3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull. Sire...1stxgreyhound/kerry blue.Ive got her on sneyds puppy meal plus trype and chicken, obviously not at the same time but i feel shes growing too quickly, with my other dogs i never noticed this.Do you think things will even out or could i be doing some damage? Shes not a greedy dog so im not sort of force feeding her.Even the breeder who is very experienced was surprised as he has two other pups from the same litter who are miles smaller
  18. My pup at 12wks, not too good at taking pics ,but have a look...attachments_2010_03_12.zipattachments_2010_03_13.zipattachments_2010_03_12.zip
  19. Make sure you dont feed them before you go on an outing and get them used to going in the car even if your going to the shops!mine grew out of it by 12months.atb brian I had a dog that was really sick in the car, an old dog man told me about slippery elm tablets, you can get them from the health shop .You can also get powder that i mix with a little water and honey to make it taste better, its great when they have bad guts and it seems to put a lining on the stomach. No side effects too...
  20. I used to use SA37 with my greyhounds a few years back a teaspoon in with every other feed. They then got so old they didnt need it... got the new pup now so im wondering if its still on the market.Still think you cant beat a good flesh diet and supplement before and during the season to boost them a little
  21. Hi Chivs, hello and welcome... same story round here.Wish i lived near Milton Keynes!!
  22. hi chris ,your website doesent seem to be working.Wanted to see the dogs... jo

  23. I would normally give him a good rub down with curacho embrocation then some electrolites in water for any dehydration.Let the dog rest and see how he is.
