  2. am looking for a new gun but almost every one i try does not fit me very well. When the gun is in it's natural shouldering location, my line of sight is far too low, by a fair bit i think dont know exactly how much, but how do you make this better so my line of sight is better, i think it may be too much for adjustable shims any help guys? cheers
  3. thanks for both the replies glad to hear you like it mjr88 i think i mite have to purchase one it will be my first auto also think i might look for a shop with a second hand one so can give it a blast though to see whether i like it or not.. what adjustments do it have like spacers or anything as with most guns i have to keep my head a tad bit up off the stock to see up the barrell if that makes sense and want it to properly fit me for once this time even if i have to get stock altered cheers
  4. does anybody use this gun am thinking about buying one with 3 inch chamber and a 26" barrell, but they are all new and dont usually like buying a gun without trying it first, any help would be very gratefull

  7. it is tidal mate need heavy feeders bout 4-6 ounce to get out a good way i just kept feeding about an hour before dark every 10 mins then fished after dark had a few but this was biggest and yes gave a hlf hour fight, there is a sand bank and its hard to get fish over it when you got one on

  11. thats what the man set it to in the shop said it was about 10/ft/lbs and charged me 25 pounds to power it up, using aa field pellets at min, they were about 35-38 yards away!
  12. i have had it put upto 11.8ft/lbs today so back out at 35yds and gave it a zeroing bang on after a few shots, then missed a couple a rabbits half an hour later just cant work it out getting frustrating..
  13. cheers for all that guys i will just have to put alot of practise in and prob get a mildot
  14. thank you very much for that info, i have just downloaded that software and i am trying to work it out now but on my scope i haven't got milldots it is just the normal cross hair it is a bushnell but not sur of the model, do you suggest selling the scope and getting a mildot version, i find it a lot harder to judge my yards at night i think a milldot scope and a rangefinder and i should be on my way but would be alot easier if i could do it normally.. cheers guys
  15. ok so i went out this afternoon and gave it a zeroing i did it a 10 yards as thats what my local shop said to do it at as that would make it spot on for 35 yards. And it worked as he said, could get 5 pellets in a penny piece at the 10 and 35 yards which is great. BUT then i thought i would go out and try a few rabbits in field this evening and got one out of probably 7, not good at all, i am not used to missing lol. my last gun was a falcon lighthunter in 177 sub 12ft/lb, this is my first .22 but had it a while. the only thing i can put it down to is not being able to judge my distance
  16. thanks very much,, i am goin to find the pieces i need to attach a handy cam hopefully wont be to hard

  22. thanks for that i can only fill it upto what the diving bottle fills it upto which is 200 or just shy of it i am no good at judging distance anymore so was thinking about gettin a rangefinding scope like the bushnell yardage pro or similar which tells you your yardage as you aim,, i use the air arms field pellets they are not bad i think but may try another to to be sure, cheers tom
