    sorry for the very late reply but thank you for taking your time to write that info for me it has given me some good ideas, still have not sent off for it at min though just havent got round to it

    i am thinking about sending off for my fac what do i need e.g how much permission, expierence and already have a sgc, and what to put down for at the start, will be mainly wanting it for vermin control long and short ranges also a good calibre for fox, is there any with a relatively straight trajectory many thanks for the advice tom

    thanks for that info much appreciate it i rang the college and spoke to one of the course managers and he said it is mainly upland keepering they consentrate on,but they said if i could find an estate which cater for what i want to do then i could do that,and they said another college which do more pheasant might be the answer,its just the fact that i like the way the course is set by being mainly on a estate on once in a while a college, also the upland bit puts me off as they use ponies to extract the deer and i am a little bit allergic to them unfortunately

    thats what i like about the course your at the placement most of the time doing hands on learning, i dont think any other courses are like that are they?? And i mainly want to do the pheasant and grouse side of it really and less of the deer, if i had the choice that is. maybe it is worth asking if i could get placed in a estate that does mostly that, maybe could mention something at the interview saying if i was successful getting on the course could it be possible etc etc

    also should have my interview about same time, but dont really want to do all the stalking want to do mostly grouse and pheasant so might have to choose another course maybe like hillkeeper101 said, unless they could put me on a estate which do that, what else do you know about it terrier john?

    cheers for the info has anybody got any more knowledge on the course, i have heard it is a lot of stalking and little of the grouse pheasants etc, much time is spent at college etc, also do they use horses for the moors bit of a weird question i no! all the best tom

    just thought i would do a little review of my new gun to those who are looking for a auto. finnaly took collection of the gun after about 3 weeks of waiting for it, but i can say was worth the wait upto now seems very well built and is alot easier cleaning due to it being inertia and not gas, i have put about 300 or so dan arms 28gram 67.5mm 7 and a halfs and not one fault, was told to expect a few jams at the start but not one upto now, i did put 50 heavier cartridges through it though at start number 6's they are very light and will take a while to get grips with it as i have cho

    yes of course i put it back hopefully will be alot bigger next time someone catches it,, yes you need big feeders or big weights because of the flow of the river and the tide, this time all rods were about half way out in the main flow of water, going again for a session tomorrow hopefully in same spot, all the best tom

    cheers for all the replys i know it is a fish of a life time and very happy with it got the bug now though for big barbel, i am hoping that if put enough time and effort in will catch more although might be pushing it now the biggest record on the trent though is 19 something so you never no,, newsboy what makes you think it is collingham weir good place that is mind

    it is getting about time for me to start my piking for this year has anybody got any good waters for some bigish ones over the 15lb pounder marks and upwards as this is my personal best will travel in reason wanted to go for 2-3 days at a time cheers

    it was 5oz feeder with a sonabait sticky hemp and halibut pellet on a size 10 hair rigged hook about 5 in the morning

    now this might sound funny but got a 4-5 month old parson bitch, has a monkey bear toy to thrash about with , but she is started to what looks like shagging it in the manner of a dog, she is deffinately a bitch before anyone says, if i could get a video up i would! never seen this before from a bitch..
