i saw one on the tyne ,i was sat on the bank the beggar popped up 6ft \away looked at me for a second or two then carried on downstream where my pal was in the river fishing it swam near enough up to him then got out & went up the bank , on one back leg all the fur was off it like it had been in a snare but it was in perfect condition & well healed , pleasure to see them
