it must have snapped for a reason ,i had tarpon to over lb on cheap 30lb chinese braid plus a 28lb salmon & countless bass by the 100s up to 9lbs the only place to be carefull is if the braid touches rocks ,other than that its down to the angler

brids good for flatties when its calm plus whiting at night get some old black lug for the flatties tip it with makeral use small hooks whiting like mackeral bait again at night even slivers of squid will work ,whitby west is good but again at night on a good sea ,flat calm sees coalie flatties and whiting , summer you can get mackeral , scarborough same as brid unless you fish the drive on high tide , to get cod the best fishing is usually on a night tide with a good sea stirring the fish , the marine drive at scarborough can be really good but its a tackle graveyard not for the newcomer real -

dont be convinced by the warranty on the greys rods i bought 2 carp rods for bassing in the same day first time out the inserts fell out of the first bottom ring ,ok easy repair for me but why after paying top money should i ? rang greys the reply was cut the section up into 4" lengths then post them back we will replace the section at £35 warranty ! i said send me the rings i will rewhip them on ,nope chop the sections up or no new section ,then i bought a new greys sea spinning rod ,broke just above the but section , no pressure on it ,it just broke ,same thing chop the lot up send it back

funny thing is i have fished for over 40yrs & the only rods i ever broke for no apparent reasons was all greys ,there rods are pure rubbish now , my opinion anyhow

its crazy the prices 10 yrs ago on anglesey on 1 beach i could pick 50 easy ,now you cant find 6 ,gangs comeing from all over the country rapeing the spots ,then theres lads with permanent pots catching hardbacks & bringing them on ,over all there is a vast shortage here ,i heard the french buy hardbacks for crab soup too

is gary still doing the business ,, the white vimar with the orange cuddy bounce back used to be my boat he is every where, he been doing alot in the river and up by the bangor pier....bounce back you sell it 2 a fella called phil?? is it moored at menai bridge, beacause if so the boat is same coulour as cuddy now. yes phil was my fishing /shooting pal ,he gets the sandeels with eric for malcs etc ,same mooring at the pier ,i had 3 tenders stolen from there lol ,they start early in the river on peeler if gary is there the fish will be there

this is 1 of the best travel rods money can buy ,ive had tarpon barracuda etc .they will handle almost any fish within reason

have you got his address mate cheers lets put it this way ,i contacted the fella & sent him £40 to repair my box ,he said it would be a dual box 8ft+15ft ,after waiting weeks the box came back in a paper bag ,all broke inside cos it wasnt packaged right ,after a arguement i sent it back ,3 weeks later it came back again working about 4 ft & crackling like hell ,,,,your choice .others may have good service off him i didnt....... that is assumeing its the same fella from rotherham

they must have cover if you put any down ,foxy will hunt them up in a moment if theres old sheds or burries put them in there ,let them get to know the area ,over the years we have caught plenty of strange coloured rabbits which are defineatly cross breeding ,, by the way im almost sure its illegal to realease any vermin once caught may be wrong (i think foxes are exempt)

me and stu had a couple of good days on the high tops this week monday was bright and warm rabbits bolted well we got 60 with the bitch hunting up & catching lots ,wednesday was freezeing they wasnt bolting as well due to the cold east wind but still managed 61 cheers pete

well after a great ferreting season i for one am looking forward to the bass fishing ,the cock crabs will soon be peeling bringing the fish in ,but i much prefer the lure & live sandeel /mackeral bait , roll on old shiney
