  4. dogs back leg is hot and swollon. she has a small 10mm puncture wound below the knee to the front/concave joint of the hock. its hot to the touch slightly swollen joint around the hock and can feel the bubble of air under the skin. apart from rest and a salwater rinse is there anything else i should be doing? im guessing that the air is due to the puncture and will be driven out on its own?

  8. i think this is a old story. and the version i heard years ago now was that the rspca had bolted a number of gsd's but failed to pith them afterwards. bolt gun seems ok to me, its good enough for other stock, why not a dog? i think the act of pithing an animal is a little offputting to most, as it is quite hands on and fairly graphic compared to necking a rabbit say.

  11. whats the distance between your supports? coraline sags very easily if insufficiently supported. what size is the shed? you can get a concrete corragated fibreboard from builders merchant. if the supports are spaced widely. chipboard is not the best for flat rooves. cheapest but not the best. OSB board would be a better option 3/4" again if youre supports are set wide appart (4') you will need additional supports or the boards will sag. coraline sheets cover bout 0.8 by 1.8m approx
