    jack russels are very game and brave dosent make them worth the hassle if they learn how to behave!! i wouldnt even have the dog out in the field if it didnt have any manners!! go back to basics walking to heel!! then teaching it to return on command( get it stock broken)!! then retrive!! you shouldnt be out in the field atall with a dog like that it ruins the experiance for both of you!!!

    fantastic stuff im curious to his running syle on the lamp?? how does he fair pace wise?? how does he work the beam?? ive heard of this before but never knew anyone who was currently running one!!

    Last season I would average between 10 and 15 this season has been even poorer and my average has been 8 with my largest single bag bieng 11!!! Just not enough runs in a night!! I have stopped early this season on my favorite ground and it won't be ferreted and hopfully fingers crossed I will get to really test the dog next season!!!

    Not a practice to be recommended.... so its not scaremongery like a bloke i mentioned it to said it was!!! he told me he thought hancock was just saying it to stop others producing blue merles!! i have a blue pied with a tiny and i mean tiny bit of merle in his face and a few dots on his back does this also mean he cant be crossed with a merle bitch???

    what is your problem mate people like you are my problem. how can you turn around and say the bitch is a good dog when its not even done a full seasons work yet??? she had these pups early dec so she has missed this season being pregnant,rearing the pups and being milked up so she hasnt worked at all and she is only two so would of been to young for last season there is enough shit out there without you adding to it with pups off a yapper thats so good your gonna get rid of it!! i noticed this earlier but wasnt going to say anythink!!! i have also noticed that there is a member o

    i think the best advice that can be given is "dont run your dog on flinty ground" i know it cant allways be helped but if you have got permission to be there! you should go round in the day and check for dangers and things you might not be able to see during the night!!

    i have read a book and was told by D.Hancock that breeding two blue merle lurchers( or any other cross) together can result in blind and and deaf puppies!! has anyone got experiance of this as im not sure if its true or not????

    yes gifted to a friend or someone who you know will do good by the dog! gifting to a total stranger is not good in my opinion!! if they dont know you and the dogs for nothing they might just think its been given away as old crap and the first sighn of it not doing what they want they oust it!!! i belive you should charge a stranger as its not cheap to bring on puppies especially if you have given them to friends aswell!! you owe the stranger nothing so they might look after there investment if they pay for it!!!!

    ive just realised reading this i sound like i breed all the time!! i have only bred off 1 of my bitches and that was 4 years ago!! 4 were given to friends and i had 1 and there was 1 extra!!! as i'd given the pups to my friends ,i had a few people some of them knew, not me ,asking for the extra pup as if it was going free!! i asked them what they were going to use it for and they didnt have a clue what they were talking about apart from 1 bloke who i had heard of not for good reasons mind!! so i kept the pup back eventually it went to a family that lived near me (for free)!! i didnt think it

    i dont like giving pups away as i dont feel people value them enough and treat them with the respect they deserve!! easy come easy go!!! although i do give good pups to trusted friends that i know will make the most of them a reaspect them!!!

    last summwer my dog ran full tilt past my mates bitch as he did she turned her head directly into his path!! and ohhh i never heard a more disgusting sound as there heads met!! luckily she was fine after an inital yelp!! but he looked like he had broken his back it was arched right under him and he lost all coordination to his back legs!! he kept falling and crossing them over each other!! luckily it soon wore off apart from bieng wobbly when he cocked his leg up a tree!! lol!! as for a cough i never noticed anything out the ordinary!!!

    my mates 16 month old pup broke its leg running into another pup!!! he had no money atall but he was told to take him to the pdsa in london and they put his plate in his leg all they ask is a donation towards the cost( they said he wont be able to work again !!! he has now 1 year later had it removed and the dogs running lovely!!! im not saying this is how all dogs that break there legs will end up just an experiance ive had simaler to yours!! i hate vets they a a complete liberty how can they justify some of the money they charge??? the vets condemn dogs to death with there f GREED!!! i do

    I had been looking into this after I struggled with mine!! I was told via email from a friend in oz that it's because the lamps are desighned to fit only lightforce made batterys!! And these batterys have diffrent plugs and connectors and other techno crap I don't understand!! To the stuff we use over here in Britain!! That's why we have diffrent lamp battery combos for sale over here as appose to buying the whole lightforce kit!! Probly usless info but thought you might like to here why we have this problem!!

    I think lightforce make the best lamps!! I use the striker as it's perfect for me!! Blitz is unreal but I don't need that much in the fields I hunt!! And my mate loves his lance the baby out the three!! I they've got lamps to suit anyone!! Allthough I do miss having the walking light I had on my clulite!!
