  1. Yes mate - wanted to keep a pup for myself from the litter so bred worker to worker.
  2. Cheers for the comments - yes Bryson - both whippets are KC registered.
  3. Had a look out to the Dales with a couple of mates on Saturday. My mate took his black bitch and I took Penny - both dogs had some good runs and some nice catches between them. Some good banter and some stunning views - really enjoyed the day. A few pics:
  4. Cheers lads - they're all pure whippets
  5. Went out lamping the other week, had a decent night for a change - both dogs took 10 rabbits each and had some good, hard runs: Then the weekend after we had Penny and Cassie out ferreting on some of my permission. Had a good morning out, just a couple of digs and a couple of bolters for the dogs:
  6. Looking fit and in top shape as always Keith - she's a cracking bitch.
  7. The wind was up last night so we thought we'd venture out again - took Tara and Cassie and tried a couple of new fields which turned out to be quite productive. Ended up a good night for the Whippets - Tara got 8 and Cassie ended the night with 10. Both dogs put in great performances - one run that Tara had that stood out for me was after a rabbit which she took up and down a hedge and kept turning it off the hedge, but the rabbit knew where it was going and got through and made its escape - it gave Tara a really good run and deserved to get away.
  8. Cheers for the comments lads - the fawn and white bitch is 20" tts and the blue bitch in the ferreting pics is 18" tts.
  9. We've had a couple more nights out on the lamp this week - took one of my mates young lads cos he'd never been. The moon was up but we just wanted a bit of sport for the dogs so the lad could see what it was all about - he really enjoyed it, the dogs had some really good courses and because it was light the rabbits gave them a run for their money. Had another night out - this time with Tara and Cassie and tried a couple of fields that we hadn't done. Ended up with Taras first black rabbit which took her through a gate and she caught it out of the beam. Took my little lass
  10. Cheers for your replies - it was nice to get something in those conditions.
  11. Had a look out last night with Tara and Penny - by the time we got to our permission the conditions had got pretty bad so we only ended up doing a couple of fields. Tara got 3 and Penny had 2 but the hailstones started to pelt us so we had to head home. We passed a lot of cars stranded on our way home, so we're glad we set off home when we did!! We haven't had the best of nights lately so we've just been getting the dogs out to keep them fit. A couple more pics from last week:
  12. Nells looking good Keith - she's doing you proud mate. Her and Nobby look like the best of mates.
  13. Cheers mate - she's half show lines and half working lines - link to Whippet Archives: http://thewhippetarchives.net/details.php?id=46202&gens=4 A few more pics of the blues: PENNY CASSIE
  14. Cheers for the comments lads. The fawn and white whippet is a bitch and stands at 20" tts - she is the mother to IWorkWhippets black bitch Nell who posts on here. Here's a couple of better pics of her:
  15. Had our first look out of the season a couple of weeks ago with Cassie and Tara as the wind was up and it was nice and dark. Both dogs were doing well then Tara seemed to go off the boil and looked like she couldn't turn properly, so we checked her over and she'd split one of her stoppers wide open so we had to call it a night with her. We carried on a bit further with Cassie, doing a few more fields - she was running really well carrying on from where she left off last year. One of the runs that stood out was when she boxed a rabbit off getting between the rabbit and home, keeping it away fr
