Good morning all, just to introduce myself, i'm allen and im from NI, i recently bought myself my first dog for the shooting field. He was already part trained with a view for me to take him on and have him ready for the coming shooting season.
I'm looking advice on how to get him to stop and listen to direction at a distance, when he's looking at me at a distance he will stop and sit to the whistle, but when i send him for a retrieve he hasn't seen but knows is there he won't look back at me, he will just keep hunting until he finds it, which fairplay to him he always does.
