Ok I've decided I still want a variable mag scope but not as powerful as I initially wanted. I've been on the Simmons website and the whiteail appears to have been phased out. I'm considering the following- Simmons Pro Sport 4-12x50 or 6-18x50. Bushnell Banner 6-18x50. I can get either for about £120 new. Any recommendations?

Thanks for the advice gents. I'm new to HMR and have 'stepped' out the ranges this calibre can be used over. I was considering a hi mag scope as at 150yds plus a rabbit looks fairly small even at 9x magnification on my 3-9 x50. Will 8x mag be enough? What is the optimun magnification for HMR?

Hi I'm looking for a cheap scope for my CZ American HMR and am considering the JSR Guntuff 8-32x50. Has anyone tried this scope or can you recommend an alternative?
