  2. Do any of the lurcher owners on here use a dog whistle?? only i want to train my 10 1/2 month old pup using a Acme dog whistle for the purpose of recall only. He does come to recall when using my voice, but as we all know, all dogs have their moments. I thought a whistle would be heard easier when the dog is a bit further away, especially on windy day,s and nights. I would be grateful for any advice from Lurcher owners already using a whistle for this purpose.. ATB for this season.. NO BAN

  4. Just my preference john, but all though it will not be fully mature at 12 months,i am noticing with each passing week he is becoming more settled and more intelligent thinking more about, for instance, the other night while training him on lamp, instead of just running him for a retrieve on rabbit fur dummy that he could quite clearly see i placed dummy in some grass making it harder for him to see, and walked onto it with the PSS PSS to gee him up, and i had lamp focused straight on dummy, and am now just feet away, but the brightness at this distance blurred the dummy, and he didnt spo

This morning i was looking at my 10 month old pup, and wanted to find out how much he weighs So i Googled dog scales,But they are £200 upwards and i cant afford that at the moment, so what i done is i weighed myself on my own set of scales, and took the reading then i picked my dog up and then weighed myself again holding my dog by adding the extra kilos from my first reading i worked out my dog weighs 33lb.. The reason i am sharing this information is the only time my pup has been weighed is when he had his jabs, and when i get flea and worming treatment.. But i cant keep goin

  15. About 2 months ago i when out walking my pup that i noticed hundreds of midges,, flys pestering me and i got bitten a lot, then a couple of days later i noticed my pup kept biting underneath his back legs, which when i inspected, he had little red spots, and some of these spots had little yellow blisters but i did not at the time make the connection of it being midges.. 19. I have heard that the hunting act is going to be put before the house of lords for a vote whether to bring back hunting with Hounds ,, dogs in 2011 does anybody know if this is true?.. It just seems to me, that all our heritage and traditions are being attacked. IE the ban on hunting, Dont fly St George cross flags because its racist No decorations in offices or workplace or this will upset Muslims in certain areas no school nativity plays, is it me, or are we being attacked by the powers that be.. who realy trusts David Cameron to bring back hunting..
