  1. Blue whippet dog pup stolen from kent 29/04/10. Reward is offered for his safe return. 15 weeks old with the usual trim. Any info appreciated.
  2. Bedlington/border/greyhound or same but saluki instead of grey... just pretty em up a bit in the nose. Nice racey one with plenty of work under its belt.
  3. If you can put up with the smell and your dog can! Lavender oil, comb it in and watch them jump off simple cheap non chemical quick and i'll vouch for it. It really is amazing the results!
  4. If she's drinking more than she should which it sounds like she is straight to the vet asap. Lots of probs from urinary infections to far more serious vet asap! All the best.

  6. White green blue makes no odds. Your question must date back to the very old superstition a white dog was "no good" because the game keepers could see it a mile off!
  7. Im thirty i live in kent. I keep a lurcher, a bull terrier and a whippet at present plus ferrets. I have been involved with lurchers and their work... on a purely working level for my whole life and keep a nice strain of collie, bed, greyhound that i've had around me since the day dot. I just couldn't stay away from whippets though. I read more on forums than i write but like to chip in if i have something useful to say and am always polite and like to be treated similarly...... lets hope. All the best Slimsunny.
  8. I have some very fast dogs and find they are only too fast when they are young. It's in there nature to catch and they create a style which suites them, very often slowing down is part of that style and i wouldn't say there is a dog out there, that has a strong desire to catch, that wont learn that. I try and work big open spaces from 12 - 18 months.... preferably with no gates! Work them and they'll create an efficient style taking in to account energy/time/safety/overall efficiency of chase are all natural to them. There are also exceptions to every rule!
