lol what do the go joy riding in round your way? cows? Will be if they build the super dairy across the road from me!!! 8,100 cows phewww! seen them new police trators on country file the other week, see if they get used for the right reasons. i was talking about that super dairy at college the other day and i heard that its not going through now because of the protests from locals with concerns of the impact it will have on the environment and so on??? good luck with the ferreting.

im so sorry rob mate they are f*****g scum of the earth that need a good f*****g kicking. but dont give up mate i will keep a lookout in the wiltshire area. try to think if you might of heard or seen anything in the last couple of days mate because they would of been there before and done a test on your place and i agree its most likely someone who you know mate or met. there must be something we can all do about all these dogs going missing there is enough of us we need to get organised there must be something then maybe the police might take it more seriously. again im so sorry mate

good question but for me use what makes things easier and still enjoyable but its probably a combination of old school field craft and new technology but its easy to get carried away and buy the newist item on the market probably catches more ferreters than rabbits. but then again ferreters use to feed bread and milk to ferrets but advances in diet and food soon changed all that so like i said if you can get a postive uses in new tecnology then why not but if your happy with your kit and it works why change it.

12 would give you most range. but it shouldnt be about who can shoot the furthest, it should be about who can bring them the closest trust me, you will feel you have accomplished more if you can bring the quarry to you rather than just shooting at long ranges, plus the fact that you are risking injuring alot of what you shoot at and thats just disrespectful!! any of the guns above will kill a pigeon with the right load and within a distance... if you want the longest range then get a 4 bore, but you wont want to be shooting that all day long and there wont be much left of a pigeon!

agreed thats what i do also get an old hi-viz waist coat and cut off small strips and tie a strip on the line next to the peg or on the peg just makes it easy to see especially early season when everything hasnt died back yet.

of course you can, at the end of the day, only you can deciede what value you put on your ferrets, look back through old posts and see those from people that have lost ferts in the same way, also, and this is'nt me trying to be funny, but maybe if you cant afford a locator, you should seriously think about rabbiting in some other form, with say and air rifle, because you cant afford a locator, so what about purse nets x 20 plus a decent shovel a carry box also as has been said so many times in the past, what if the ferts need vets treatment, will you hope to put a post up, asking

alright mate are you just putting ferret and dog straight together?? if so i wouldnt i would take it slowly and like what the other reply says if it doesnt calm down i wouldnt use that gill with a dog because if that ferret bite the dog in the field you will more than likely end up with a dead ferret and a dog that will be shy with ferrets. hope it works out mate

hi mate sorry i meant ive kept him and his sister seperate so he is not on his own while he puts some size on but do u think i should put them both in now mate yea mate get them in beside each other,let them get used to each other.as i said just kep an eye on them make sure he gets his fair share at feeding time. nice one thanks mate and thanks to everyone else for there replys

picked up some new kits saturday one gill and her brother hob but the hob is half the size of the gill. i got them off a good friend who i ferret with so i know he didnt have to bring it on himself or have any problems with it. in fact i fed them today and he was the one who took charge over the food but the size difference is massive and was just woundering if this is common or not to have the hob so small compared to its sisters. ive kept them seperate from my other ferrets until he puts some size on just in case he cant defend himself. im not bothered if he turns out to be just be a small h

i have them mate and think there ok -
dont feed the night before they have dry food available all the time but i will feed liver,kidney during the day when out never had any problems only dig when one has a rabbit/rabbits pinned nerver had one curl up.

i live in swindon mate there is a new site on coate water enterance mate when i drove past there was dogs in cages i know its probably long gone out of swindon but might be worth a look for the 2nd dog mate. Sorry i forgot to say if you or your mate would like someone to come with u just let me know and me and my mates are there no problem years of experience dealing with scum mate no worries at all.
