cant see the pics for some reason can you see them now mate
-
just got some more permission its a 500acre arable farm so i thought i would just take a look to see whats about for the season to come it hasnt been lamped before and you can tell its teeming with rabbits which is the only animal i hunt seen plenty of hares, deer, fox which are obviously out of bounds and dont interest me at all. As i was walking past a tree line i heard what i thought was a stress call when i got closer i realised it was coming from up a tree and this is what i seen was well chuffed. for me this is what its all about while being out in the countryside.

Feeding? Once or Twice
saxonmaster replied to BORDERSCOT's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
i used to feed once but he would sh*t about 7or8 times now ive changed it to 2 and he is using more of the food rather then just going in one end and out the other. main meal before i put him to bed then out in the morning for walk to empty himself and then bike ride then about 1ish maybe chicken wings and then back out later to empty himself and excersise cant remember last time i had to clean sh*t out of the kennel feeding like this. -

Creatine and other suppliments
saxonmaster replied to bleachtastesnice's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
why is that? Saxonmaster, what do you do with your dogs to keep them in good condition? alright mate well he is on raw such as chicken with bones, minced organs and muscle, fish, veg and so on. i didnt start him on the lamp till the back end of last season but he was ferreting and shooting from the begining of last season so this years season will be his first proper one which will make him 2 years old in december. so his fitness training for most of last year was free running with his kennel mate abit of bike work nothing major retreiving the ball or dummy and long steady walks -
any of you lads got your pups jumping yet

I've no problem with travelling for the right dog but even following your good advice there are major pitfalls! You arrive to view the pups, the seller trots out an impressive sire that is his mates dog and maybe even takes you out to see the dog work (though not really feasible from now till Sept/Oct), however there is absolutely no guarantee that the dog you've seen is genuinely the sire! A dozen years ago I went with a mate to collect a pup for him, the parents were both viewed and were just the right type yet when the pup got up to 6mths it was obvious either the pairing had thrown

thats ok mate. i have the mk3m too mate it had some bad press when it first came out but ive never had a problem with it the mk1 is really good too but your knackered if it breaks. ive had a prolapsed disc for over a year and a half so digging is a very last result for me and then i have to call it a day and go home after a hard dig unless i have someone with me who can dig but it will never stop me getting out i proper love it and will never stop. having my 2nd epidrual (not sure if i spelt that right) tomorrow which always helps with my back. do you do any other hunting mate

as soon as i seen your heading mate straight away i was thinking poor lad who is really chuffed with his first lurcher and he is going to get slaughtered and put a downer on it for you. dont worry just put the hard work in mate and then in a couple of seasons bang the photos up of your days/nights out and let that do the talking even the so called working stock dogs dont always turn out to be great dogs. i have a hancock which is my first lurcher he aint no world beater and never will be SO WHAT i have great days/nights out with him great companion and company i take him everywhere with me

Creatine and other suppliments
saxonmaster replied to bleachtastesnice's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
creatine will help swell the cells in the muscle hence the cell will hold more water to help the muscle work longer and help with recovery to. muscles are at there strongest /fittest when the cells are fully hydrated and energised. because you can hold more water it can make the muscle look fuller thats why people think it a muscle builder but it can also make you look bloated in all the places you dont want to look bloated but not sure if that is the same for dogs. i used to body build to a ok degree and have mates who do body building shows never got a buzz off it or anything like that but
