  1. hi mate no problem with the design let me know if i can help mate the base size is about 8 1/2ft x 12ft but because of the shape of my garden it does tapper slightly on the right as it goes back but you dont notice it but it did make putting the roof on a real pain. the roofed area starts at 7 1/2ft and drops down to 6 1/2ft. i am fitting a 2nd door but im in 2 minds on wether to do it internal or external mainly because it might make it look ugly in the garden with a external passage and door. you getting a male of female mate? and thanks for the comments.
  2. thanks mate, i bet your well proud of her its great when you put in the hours and hard work and you get paid back 10 fold. bang up a photo mate id love to see her
  3. cheers mate in photos 9 and 10 you can see where i have cut a food chute and in photo 11 you can see the cover is back on but im going to add a slidding lockable door so when you pull the cover off you unlock and slide open but im also going to do some sort of cover so the bird cant see my hand push the food through onto the food platform. i think that made sense mate hahaha cheers again
  4. thanks mate and your right about that garden but you should of seen it before i put those walls in its a shame it aint flat because it would be a nice size garden.
  5. Professional job, you should be proud of that job. Can you do some close up photographs of the front bars and what you have used to join the spars on the roof? If you built me an aviary like that I would give you a female harris hawk in fact I would give you a pair of harris hawk. thanks mate i am chuffed with it, i built the kennle and ferret court that is on the left hand side of the mews to mate. ill try to get some close ups for you mate but there just dowled about 25mm at each end and 14 1in broom handles cut to size which were the cheaper option dowlling is quite dear. and with
  6. nice one cheers mate after i built it i did think this could of been my place to get some peace hahahha cheers mate
  7. cheers mate, what you said about a male is why i went for one i think if you can get a good size male you will have a more all round bird with its speed and agility than a female, well thats what im hoping for anyway. the breeder said his males usally fly at around 1.7. i was thinking about doing a diary but not sure weather to write one on here or on the iff you dont seem to get much feed back on here it seems quite quiet the falconry section compared to the other sections on here if you know what i mean mate. nice job mate have fun with your new bird is it your first ?i,ve had male and
  8. hi mate i use a 3/4grey 1/4collie i would rather not go ferreting if i didnt take a dog when my back was bad he gets to the nets and pins them for me but a lot of the time i wont even use nets i love watching the dog give chase and you cover more ground without nets but thats just me. i think any cross would be good but i would go for something with collie in it mate.

    my mews

Just thought i'd put photos of my mews i just built from scratch. its not totally finished yet it needs guttering, edgeing strips, security passage, perches, boarding out inside, painting, netting on the open roof area, door and some more shingle. it was a bit of a race to get the heavy work finished because i had to have an operation on my spine on wednesday just gone and ill be out of action for 6 weeks after. i manage to get what i needed to be done by 10pm tuesday night and wednesday 11.30am i was in hospital for my operation but it did keep my mind off the operation. hope you like it any f
  13. 21% protein for a 7 month old lurcher puppy doesn't seem to me like it would be too much! Probably the opposite. I feed mines Gain 28, which is, as it says, 28% protein which seems more appropriate for a fast growing lurcher puppy. I certainly wouldn't be lovering the protein conten of its diet at this stage of its life. Add some chicken/rice or better still take it to the vet. agreed
  14. i wouldnt feed anything for at least 24 hours but leave water then very small amounts of boiled chicken with rice or pasta 4 very small meals throughout the next 24 hours and see if that helps but if it was me get to the vets if you are concerned about its weight or lossing fluids or lossing blood. what you feeding her mate
  15. thank you mate i will keep you posted how the bird comes along ive decided to go ahead to finish building the mews all the wood is being delivered tomorrow
  16. i dont think you will have any problems mate if there next to the dogs i used to leave mine out but had the dogs in the garden and watched the foxes go to the gardens next to mine but stayed away from mine.
  17. there is one called walky dog which is ok its about 30 pounds. ive ran my rotties on these and never been pulled off infact ive ran a bull mastiff and my rottie together with no problems. ive managed to get hold of a different type of one but im not sure what its called but i will put a photo up for you mate later. good thing about these is it has springs so the dog cant pull you off, cant get caught in the wheels which has happened to me when i have just used a lead and because its on the side of the bike the dog is under your control at all times and really builds up the front end of the
