  5. the mods should move it to the right place if its wrong, and the problem you have if you open a sub forum and people only look at the sections that interest them is that the keepers might not read that section and as we've both agree'd they are probably the best people to answer yer questions, there is always the chance that some moron will shoot you down in flames no matter what section you post in but they are just morons so any questions bud, you fire away ! after all thats what the sites about isnt it ? yours in sport gerron
  6. a good read and isnt it refreshing to hear a story where police have been involved and used common sence ! On the subject of gutting rabbits...we took 30 odd rabbits onto a pier in the middle of no where to start gutting and a dozen or so hairy bikers arrived as we were doing so, never seen such a tough looking bunch wimper so much in all my life ! haha

However I have been into shooting and fishing all my life and have loads of pics ect if anyone need reasuring ! I'v also just sorted a young lad out from this site with some work experiance as he's hoping to get into gamekeeping, was his first day today and from what i hear, the keeper was pretty impressed with him ! And even if you dont want to get involved with me, then a few pointers in the right direction would be really helpfull ie the names

  15. I have always caught my callbird from scratch and have done so by making a nest shape from straw placing some hens eggs in and slightly covering the eggs with the straw as if trying to hide them, i caught several magpies in my back garden 2 years ago using this method instead of a callbird, reason being was a nosey neighbour giving me grief so i jusrt set the trap at night and dispatched the magpies in the morning before i went to work, just remembered it seemed to work well with a broken egg ontop of the trap and whole eggs inside...dont ask mwe why, but certainly seemed to give them more con
  16. My lab is almost 2 and half now and he point blank refuses to have any sort of bedding in his sleeping box no matter what the weather is doing or time of year, doesnt do them any harm and dogs eating there own mess is fairly common too, its usually down to something lacking in there diet but some dogs just seem to enjoy it ! lol maybe he's tryin to tell ya summit about the beta puppy ! haha best of luck matey but i wouldnt worry too much about these issues
