    Lure "coursing" is exactley the same as showing, its ok for a bit of fun in the right conditions,but who are we to judge people who only show or race there dogs,bit hypicritical if you ask me, just like folk who dont hunt saying dogs shouldnt be used for hunting ??!! so what if people want to breed dogs to win races.....greyhound men have been doing if for years and i dont hear any one complaining about them ? and dont say that they are ruining the breed because any deacent dog man wanting a dog for hunting porposes will go to proven lines for that purpose ! i'd also like to add th

    you can do a mole control course, i think its £90 from memorie and its a 1 day course that covers trapping ang gassing. good luck

    We used to only see the odd one around our shoot but last winter there was litterally hundreds of them so we shot a few a think about a dozen or so during pheasant drives

    for some reason i'v found that some dogs can be a bit funny with rabbits, try the bitch with some feather first, probably be pigeon this time of year if so it will help to put in inside something like an old pair of the mrs stockings or tights or summit, i know that sounds daft but it helps the dog carry it correctly for the first couple of times, or just try coaxing the dog with the rabbit and small retrieves to start off with. can also help to send another dog for the rabbit if she doesnt lift it atb gerron

    You sound pretty young....correct me if i'm wrong ! If you are then you need to think about the future of your sport,there isnt always laws that are gonna tell ya whats best for your sport, but as a "fieldsports man" you will have to make those choices. do you really wanna shoot anything in breeding season unless its causing problems ?? food for thought ;-)

    thanks, i new what the season dates were it just I didnt relise it was illegal to shoot them out of season. to be fair mate , its a silly statement !!!! why do you think there is a season ???? dont want to get in an arguement, but I thought it was for breeding pupouses. it is for breeding purposes !

    we get 45g plastic drums free from the local dye works...there great after a good clean out and they have the screw on lids :-)

    I'v caught plenty of pollack on the fly rod mate,white mackerel type feathers seem to work well intermediate line and a larger type rod and large arbour reel will help too, oh and dont forget to rinse yerr gear off with fresh water afterwards
