Exmoor Friday and Saturday for my first time...Lets see what it's all about.

Thanks for the advice. Il pm you if I know someone who needs advice on digging a hole with a digger.
-
you need to go and get your CSR CARD very clever , if my mate was in a hole I would be making sure he was ok ,........ok too give it the big one on here , too be honest I exspect nothing less Your giving it the big spuds saying youv dug plenty of holes with diggers. And saying most men on here who commented havent gone over they're shoulders. If youv dug with diggers plenty of times I dread to think where your tipping your dogs In. Or have you got A plant hire on speed dial if it gets a little to deep for you...once I seen a machine and it was in a bit of a rubbish dump and to be honest I wo

Itl take a while to replace the one I lost so I wouldn't mind taking a risk for it, as they risk there life's for us every time they're little arses dissappear into the sod. But....some people take these comments too seriously anyway.

whippets 100% correct that needs shored... sure if your down that depth and everythings going well and have time to take pics...another hour or two to shore up wont hurt, yes I agree the welfare of terrier and quarry is forefront.. but when it comes to human safety... all stops need to be pulled out for the men in the depths... as in safety of man on the shovel is worth more than a terrier surely?don't worry about human safety. Terrier safety comes first.... the big hunter , comments like this make me chuckle , the hunting life bull shite , you throw yourself in front of a car too save your

I got myself into it and was very fortunate to have had terriers given to me more or less when I first started by a local lad. You fat bast*rd you probably will read this although your useless on the shovel your knowledge and what iv learned from you is second to none.
-
Feck me itl be 800 next week lol
-
And me
-
Garbage from me too. Couldn't rate them enough at the start. Soon as the waterproofer is off they're wank..Hopefully a refund but I doubt it
-
But there's time for sitting around for a hour like you said you do before a shovel gets any soil on it?
-
What part of south Wales? Will keep eyes open
-
You don't actually have to be fit to be doing it there....1 break 1 scoop it's not a fast digging country. Herefordshire and Shropshire is a different story you can go like feck in 90% of that part of the country
-
Don't see how you could mess up the air supply? But yeah out and away as far as possible sounds better. Unusual to have it back under the entrance in a single hole earth
-
That's all well and good untill some lazy twat throws the soil over them lol. But yeah thas a way iv used of backfilling only still it stands out a bit being higher than the rest of the ground
-
And if I'm on someone else's ground....Someone usually has to say 'that's enough' before I stop chucking it back in and more. Can't handle the ones who say that's enough after a few spoonfuls have gone in but then your hands are tied I suppose.
-
I always try and get 8 inches at least above...9 times out of ten means taking spoil from elsewhere even then after being stamped and mounted up 8 inches they still sink to either level or just under. Just chucking in what came out is lazy if you ask me.. Not doing anything at all is beyond a joke!
-
I can't understand why people add bull into a line of terriers. But then again who the feck am I to question terrierman who've been at it longer than iv been on the planet. Definitely wouldn't be my cup of tetley
-
Sow....I hope that wasn't in the UK ? yes 3 capable diggers...me and a mate aren't the best to use a spade but young and fit enough to get there every time no matter what the depth. And even with another one of us a few 3m digs a day would be pretty good going. Especially in hard clay.
-
Fair play superman. Wish I could do a few 3m digs a day and go back out the next day and do it again. Sound.
-
Very good single handed digging dog...I should fecking hope he's single handed too!
-
Good offers that rex...my mother works in a medical factory and was getting these years ago like if she ownedthe place...I gave a pile away over the years and now she can't get them. They're cheap enough for what they are anyhow but it'd be nice to have a few hundred laying about at the ready...
