  1. It is a sense of achievement because when the culprit is gone there's a good chance you don't get the call for a while. Truth be told there's no fun in it at all...overweight terriers, unfit terriers...terriers that's gone from regular work to nothing at all for a month or so then back at it for a call out, it just never seems to go straight forward
  2. got a vixen last week on permission. She didn't have cubs or wasn't in cub either. Thought it strangeBig dog fox this was on a hedge line full of sheep farm has asked to go up again soon but big fella needs a few weeks rest This time of year usually suits a little fella more. Had two call outs, same weekends as mothers day. Really didn't want to do it so had a mate to do 1 while I done the other. To my surprise we had a massive dog fox in an earth next to a field of lambs. Strange how he was in the ground on such a nice evening...I expected a feeding vixen. There's no fun In it this time of ye
  3. And still plenty of game in those areas Lampshy though?
  4. Chippenham, calne, bath, Swindon, all been hammered for years by south Wales men. I was one of them when I was a whipper snapper. You won't stop them in fact half of them are fecking wild and wouldnt care about plod
  5. Nice healthy looking litter
  6. Oh I used to haunt badminton estate lamping, petty France, Tetbury, probably even woke farquar up a few times...nevermind it kept me off the streets when I was 14/15/16... iv been hunting all around there since with a grin on my face remembering the old days. I couldnt do it now since iv enjoyed watching hounds but I wouldnt change them days for the world not giving a feck thinking we had permission all over Wales and England ?
  7. Nevermind youl make the 51st hopefully, my mate had a good 1 with his daughters 16th birthday. Hopefully he will seensure this and tell you about it...
  8. You couldn't be any more accurate. Smack on, some people love the limelight...they'll be in the limelight no doubt, for the wrong reasons on BBC news. People like this give the opposition the wrong view on terrierwork
  9. Haix are the only boot that's lasted me...good foot plates have still f****d my boots up ?
  10. Well, I for 1 admit I don't get every 1. But I like to think 90% are accounted for.
  11. I can't believe it when lads spend £250 on boots then don't look after them and wonder why they drop to bits , it madness!I think its the most common factor in most said 'boot failure'that and kicking the shit out of a shovel when you can use a graft of fork. Try explaining that to the boss when you got 15and half couple of sharp hounds above you....sorry boss I can't break my boots ? on a serious note, my boots are f*cked from being a knob with a shovel. Meindls lasted 3 months, Andrews bartoro high welt lasted a month..that's £530 worth of boots there i could cry!
  12. Sounds like a porn script " I shot my beast and was piped off" ?????
  13. High point...November December January. Low point, February/March. I feel unfit as feck already ?
  14. That is not safe after a drink. You can look after him.........
  15. Nevermind the quad and the mud you get your drinking boots on for the show ?
  16. Feckall with a vibram sole. Falls to pieces in no time
  17. There's one I heard of used to drive fields killing any animals that affected his stock, not by gun....but by running them over in an old car he had on the yard? trust me some of the things iv came across with Welsh farmers is unreal. Proper old characters though, I couldn't imagine them in a pub they'd be f***ing wild
  18. F*** Goat you want to try talk to them when you're English! I've tried a couple of times and been totally ignored as if I wasn't there. They're an odd bunch. You'd be ok in mid and West wales, aslong as you don't have brown skin.
  19. you knock the next farm and he tells you they are brothers/cousins but they don't speak lol-just nod smile and ask can we come on?I find they can't say no to the scouse dream team that I dig with pmsl-meet some mad old boys up in them hills and no amount of learning welsh in schools gonna help you out.its a different world.atb dc I wish you'd reply to my PM instead of this thread...you was all mouth on the last thread we were both on.
  20. You won't get as mad as a Welsh farmer in the hills. By f****d if you can even understand them. They don't see anyone,I'm sure they're language is crow or magpie because they don't speak to humans. Yes yes...aiai....that's about the best you can get out of them
  21. Didn't know the man, but never nice hearing someone in the same game as us has passed. Rip
