    It is a sense of achievement because when the culprit is gone there's a good chance you don't get the call for a while. Truth be told there's no fun in it at all...overweight terriers, unfit terriers...terriers that's gone from regular work to nothing at all for a month or so then back at it for a call out, it just never seems to go straight forward

    Oh I used to haunt badminton estate lamping, petty France, Tetbury, probably even woke farquar up a few times...nevermind it kept me off the streets when I was 14/15/16... iv been hunting all around there since with a grin on my face remembering the old days. I couldnt do it now since iv enjoyed watching hounds but I wouldnt change them days for the world not giving a feck thinking we had permission all over Wales and England ?

    I can't believe it when lads spend £250 on boots then don't look after them and wonder why they drop to bits , it madness!I think its the most common factor in most said 'boot failure'that and kicking the shit out of a shovel when you can use a graft of fork. Try explaining that to the boss when you got 15and half couple of sharp hounds above you....sorry boss I can't break my boots ? on a serious note, my boots are f*cked from being a knob with a shovel. Meindls lasted 3 months, Andrews bartoro high welt lasted a month..that's £530 worth of boots there i could cry!

    There's one I heard of used to drive fields killing any animals that affected his stock, not by gun....but by running them over in an old car he had on the yard? trust me some of the things iv came across with Welsh farmers is unreal. Proper old characters though, I couldn't imagine them in a pub they'd be f***ing wild

    F*** Goat you want to try talk to them when you're English! I've tried a couple of times and been totally ignored as if I wasn't there. They're an odd bunch. You'd be ok in mid and West wales, aslong as you don't have brown skin.

    Weve all done it by diging too early and dog is not with its quarry properly but ive seen it happen with dogs siting of there quarry,i like to hear a bit of rumbling before breakthrough as then you know the dog is with its quarry. The tone of voice says alot too if you know the dog.
