  1. Cheers Northern lad, cant say i have tried eating perch but a fish is a fish lol, dont think the bailiff at my local catch & release water would take a liking to me knocking one of his perch on the head to see if it tastes good lol
  2. I was also very surprised mate, mum had 11 pups, 10 made it and all of them were racy types
  3. Alright mate, the sire is a border collie which I have owned since he was 8weeks old, & mum a whippet, my collie stands at 20" tts, and currently weighs around 22kgs but thats because he's now almost 14yr old but he was much lighter in his better days and was my marking dog for many years and his intelligence was & still is remarkable. He came from a litter of small collies that were bread small for many generations, he was the biggest in the litter. The whippet stands at 18" tts & weighs 14.5 kg. The pups are a few days short of 7months old, the mostly white bitch pup currently
  4. A few pics of the dogs, the pups are Border Collie/ Whippet first cross:
  5. Aye Ideation I can imagine they could be a real pain, I didnt mind catching a few though makes a change from the usual trout and I was surprised at the fight they put up, good fun on the fly rod.
  6. Cheers for the replys all asha I was using buzzers in many different colours/combinations, pernod is right the greedy wee feckers will grab almost anything you throw at them, the perch I caught always took this little fellow:
  7. I have fished stoneyford on a regular basis for years except for this season, haven't fished it at all yet. For me it has almost always fished well on the worm or spinner but not so much on the fly, my personal best catches from it was a rainbow just over six pound and a lovely brown weighing three & a half pound. Both were caught on a spinner.
  8. A few pics of my recent trip to my local catch & release lake, plenty of rainbow trout, a couple of small pike and a few perch all taken on the fly.

  11. Cheers I got the pipe at b&q costs a small fortune almost £50 for a ten metre roll, but had to get it, was fed up waiting on some falling off the back of a lorry lol.
  12. Here's some pics of my court for the Jill's, it's attached to the run/shed for my Whippet & pups, there's also a few pics of the Hobs hutch. As you can seefrom these pics there's black piping running from the floor of the court, up the wall, across the roof into the dogs run and runs across the roof of the run then back into the court. There's perspex between the court/run along the bottom, helping to get the pups used to ferrets. Having a wee munch. The Hobs hutch.
