  1. Air stripper ? Oh my , i only use AA air stripper but your right on the rest
  2. I mean the pellet flying erratically when it leaves the muzzle , because the end of the barrel is not 90* square to the bore .This is to ensure the projectile leaves the barrel at the same time around it's circumference and flys straight , if it was to leave on one side of the skirt before the other , it will cause the pellet to become unstable and fly erratically .
  3. I have to admit I don't know the answer to that one Buster. You'll have to tell us. If it was aimed at me I have to wonder if you read the original problem at all. I certainly don't want to ruin my rifle. I've only just bought the thing and if it was putting out 11.5ftlb's instead of 9.4ftlb's I wouldn't have touched it. And where did Heath Robinson come from? We're talking about a spring that slightly stronger than the original for God's sake. And this from a man who earns a living selling AA spares because the originals are so good. Could you be slightly more constructive please Bus
  4. Been doing a bit of `online searching ` and i found an interesting read in this post by Simon Howarth ( Tench or Tweaky ) The std ultra is made in many versions, the later ones with the number 2 on the breech use the scorpion hammer assembly, this is a heavier hammer than the earlier versions which achieves the required force at the firing valve with less spring preload resulting in lighter cocking effort but a slower hammer action, the hammer travel is around 18mm, i have modified my own target rifle to a hammer stroke of just 5mm, this gives a very fast lock time, but it is a bit more i
  5. Dont waste money on `Performance Parts ` use the originals . Air Arms have spent years and many thousands of pounds making sure their products run at their best with the parts they use . Why ruin a perfectly designed rifle with ` Heath Robinson ` ideas ?
