  4. I have to . Alot of my shoots are on the local water authority`s sites . They let me go as and when i please , and as all the sites are secure ( i have keys ) they insist i call the police , and their control room , as tresspassers are not welcomed So i dont mind , as i shoot all i want . I just think i would be better the old way , with my own incident number . Still , they have a lot of sites , so i should`nt moan really .
  5. Been out tonight , and as usual had to ring the old bill before hand . Today i phoned them , and gave them MY incident number . Its just for me , has my details logged under it , where i will be , what car , contact number , blah blah blah. Seems it dont work like that anymore . I now have to phone and get a new one every time i shoot . So i`ll have to tell them all my details , where im going , contact numbers ect , ect , ect . I was on the phone 13 minutes tonight , 13 minutes !!! Not long really , but every time i go out !! There must be another way to do things , what do any of you do ??
  6. 20 fps spread is nothing really , would`nt worry bout it . Personally i would center the scope . You can do this by taking off the top of the mounts , leaving the bottom parts as a cradle .Look through the scope and fix it on a point about 20yds away . then , without moving the rifle , turn the scope by hand through 180degress . If the cross hairs are still on the same point, then the scope is centered . If not , and when you turn the scope the cross hairs are quite a way out , you need to adjust it so the cross hairs dont move when the scope its turned . Some times a scope can be zeroed , bu
  7. Hunter field target (HFT) This is a target shooting sport derived from the air gun disciplines of field target shooting and hunting. Primarily an outdoor sport, shot with UK legal air rifles (rated at a maximum of 12 ft·lbf), a typical HFT course is made up of 30 lanes, with each lane comprising of a peg and a metal "knock down" target placed in a position to simulate a hunting scenario. The peg marks the shooting spot and the shooter must touch the peg with part of his or her body or gun for the shot to count. The targets are mainly based on typical UK-based quarry such as rabbit, ra

  12. Been out for a bit tonight , just a couple of hours . To hot to do anything else so i though i may as well go out for a mooch . Now i dont normally use the range finder for anything other than zeroing in and checking my POI`s .Tonight i thought ide `range` what ever i shot so i know what im up to , dont` get me wrong i dont take stupid shots , and only fire at what in pretty sure i can hit . Anyway , pulled up in the car to see a young magpie. I rested the gun on the passenger window and he went down . I ranged him at 51 yds . I went down the wooded part of the shoot where there are a lot of b

  15. Ive had a few dealings with Ghostmaker , a few chats , nothing more than most . I`ve had a few dealings with lots of folk over the years on various sites , some have become great friends , others have been banished to the `ignore list` I tend not to say a lot these days , as there`s always someone that want`s to shoot you down . I find the competitive side of people dissapointing , as no matter what you say or do , someone`s done it better ! Or they lay claim to have .Pay no mind to it , its just competition bringing out that side of him . Just think about the answers that come before it turns
  16. Just going through the computer looking for something and i came acrfoss this string from my old S410 I did an shot string with AA Fields , changed all the seals a couple of days before i did it . Could have been tighter i think , but i have seen far worse. With no more than a 20fps difference , was ok for a standard rifle . Bust .
  17. sorry for the late reply mate , no there rabbit snares
  18. Personally ide be careful on there . Ive had some good deals , but also had my fingers burnt by a `long standing member` when it was questioned , even the `mods ` closed ranks , very poor show .

  21. Popped out for a bit yesterday evening , to my new permission . The first time ive really put the new action to the test . Got there and within 10 pellets it was zero`d just as i like it as 25 yds . Topped up the cylinder to 210 and loaded 2 mags and i was off . Not having spent any time here i decided a slow walk round was in order . As i started up the drive a doe was sitting out about 30 yds , pellet hit the mark no problem . Had a walk round to get the lie of the land and picked a couple of on my way round , and a couple more on the way out. The new action was up to my expectations , nice
