  1. I agree leave them undisturbed just in case she eats them.
  2. Im assuming all 3 jills were fully in season? Did you witness the mating?
  3. My jill is looking fatter everyday, hope shes not carrying a dozen. Shes eating rabbit and pigeon by the ton. Yours must be due in 3 or 4 days? I know same here, think it was the 25th there due can't wait just hope she doesn't eat them, what you gonna keep out of your litter mate? Im keeping 2 hobs which Ill get castrated, if they turn out as good as the father to the litter Ill be very happy. Its the jills first litter so Im hoping all will go smooth. Shes a solid worker to so if they don't produce something decent between them Ill be surprised.

  5. That's an impressive set up. Am I right in thinking a kettle bbq is ideal for both grilling and bbq? Im looking at getting one soon, tbh I only found out the difference a couple of days ago. Im mainly wanting it for grilling burgers sausages wings etc but I also realy want to try beer can chicken and duck.
  6. They look strong and healthy, nice size litter to.
  7. Had one in my garden munching a blackbird a while back, realy amazing animals.
  8. Isnt that why the boerbel was bred to keep them feckers out?
  9. Neighbors of mine came back here after decades living in SA because it was getting rough over there, they lived in a compound and had 4 rotties on guard duty.
  10. Id move the jill that had the kits out now. impossible to say which jill ate the kits but the one that hasn't given birth yet will probably have a better chance on her own.
  11. Closest I ever came to losing a ferret was 3 years ago, I was doing a small woodland, did the first warren chucked the 2 jills I had back in the box and went to gut the few rabbits I had and lift all the nets. I pick up all my gear and move on to the next warren lay my nets go to get the box of ferrets and realise its a bit light, I hadn't put the lid on properly and both jills had gotten out, I ran back to the first warren and found one of them straight away, the other took me well over an hour to find, I was walking around all the ditch warrens nearby and eventualy got a bleep on my locator,
  12. Mean Streets, Deniro and Keitel were amazing in that. I love all the old warner bros gangster films from the 30s Little Caesar and Angels With Dirty Faces being particular favourites.
  13. Cheers mate, no it's a albino to a polcat Im expecting kits in 3 weeks, also a polecat hob over an albino jill. Im hoping for a couple of light coloured hobs for myself. Good luck with them
  14. Stuart A Life Backwards is another Tom Hardy film worth watching.
  15. This Is England brilliant film, Stephen Grahams a legend.
  16. yes i thought about a bell but the band is a good idea! do people ferret at night at all? im sure you could use the bell system but also have a small light? or is there no benefit to doing it at night? more hassle than its worth sort of thing? Ive only tried once at night wasn't for me. Theres one or two on here that do it though. Another tip for you, if you cant dig your ferret out for any reason (for example hes under a tree) open up a rabbits belly, put the rabbit in a purse net then chuck it just inside the closest hole to where you think your ferret is, quite often the smell
  17. If Im doing warrens in brambles etc where its not easy to see ferrets emerging I use a cat bell on an elastic band which goes around the ferrets neck, using an elastic band ensures that if the bell snags on something underground the ferret can pull free, also the band makes it easier to change the bell a couple of times through the day when it gets mud inside and doesn't work so well. I use a locator and collar as well of course. I believe most of the strays that are found have been dumped rather than lost, Ive met a few ferreters who would leave a ferret in a warren if it was taking to l
  18. Yes Oldboy is a fantastic film......second in the Vengence trilogy, have you seen them all? Yeah mate got them all on dvd. Like Oldboy best then Lady Vengeance then Sympathy For Mr Vengeance.
  19. Watched all the Indiana jones films the other week hadn't seen them since I was a kid, enjoyed them as much now as I did then. Anyone seen Oldboy? The original Korean film not the American remake. Its an amazing revenge film. Also as someone mentioned above Dead Mans Shoes, got to be one of the best films Ive seen.
  20. I liked the film Hardy was in about bootleggers during prohibition I cant remember what it was called, Bronson was an entertaining film as well.
  21. City Of God is a brilliant film. If anyone on here is into foreign films Amores Perros is a good film.
  22. Once Upon A Time In America is my favourite by a long way.
  23. I had 2 entire hobs together and there was the odd row, castration seems the ideal solution.
  24. I bet he shat his pants when he saw the ebt coming at him lol, Id imagine that would be enough to stop him trying again.
  25. Ive been lucky and only had one short stay of 4 days in hospital. Bored senseless is an understatement. If i end up back in there i think Ill get myself an ipad and load it up with films and tv series to keep myself busy.
